Nah, don't worry about it. It allowed me to watch Colin "Frog" Siedl work his speed on KO return once again. Man that was a special "Knight":D for him. No wonder nobody kicks to him!!!

At minute 3:53 you catch a good glimpse of #70 head butting a Bluebird 3-4 times during and after the play. It's painful to watch.

 

Would be a great thing to see if it were two Highlands players getting pumped up before a game. That kid has severe anger issues. He needs help.

After watching the highlights on Youtube you see the utter destruction that the Offensive line created blowing open holes and the other thing that stood out was the blazing speed of Seidle. That kid just blows the doors off people and even after he scored he was sprinting along the sidelines like it took him another 20 seconds to cool the engines. LOL

Whew...beginning to think I was seeing things with regards to LC #70..Glad someone else has seen it too...guess I need to watch a little film..

 

Tuesday night films should be entertaining this week.

I just got to see this game on film and I am disgusted by three things.

 

First, the conduct of #70 for Lexington Catholic is despicable. To say that his play was dirty could not do justice. What I saw was a player hell bent on hurting other players. This occurred throughout the game and escalated to nearly every play as the game went into the 4th quarter.

 

The referees in this game missed some calls, but to have missed the conduct of this player for the entirety of the game is shameful and inexcusable. If they missed it because they just did not have the ability to see the infractions indicates that they are incompetent. If they saw and did nothing is something far worse.

 

For Coach Letton to allow this on his team is outrageous and immoral. To be the head coach of a high school football team, much less one that represents the Catholic Church, and do nothing to stop this is beyond comprehension. It is not possible for him, or anyone else, to not have seen what was taking place and to have not removed his player is to condone the behavior. When #30 for Highlands was flagged for trying to get at # 70 after getting drilled in the back well after the whistle, Highlands coaches removed him from the game and did not allow him to return. Letton had every opportunity to remove his player and did nothing. In fact his infractions became more blatant.

 

I know kids will talk on the field and sometimes there is even dirty play. What took place in this game is something way beyond that and it, and the people responsible, have no business being involved in high school athletics. I can only hope that the KHSAA will act on this. More importantly, I hope that someone at Lexington Catholic will look at this and see that something should be done about the manner in which their school and religion are being represented.

 

Reading this reminds me of an earlier playoff game this year when Cooper played Anderson Co.

 

It was brought up on here, but didn't really go into detail. Enough time has passed that I think it can be brought up here and especially after reading this post you made about the player from Lex Cath.

 

Before I go into it, I will say that the rest of Anderson Co.'s team played great and had no problems with. There was one kid though, #30 for Anderson Co. that once AC was down in the game by 28 pts. became very uncontrollable.

All the incidents took place on kickoffs where #30 played on Anderson Co.'s kick return team. He blatantly went right after a certain Cooper player, body slammed him to the ground stradled the kid as as he sat on the kids chest proceeded to throw 3 punches to the kids face under the face mask. Just like the game you are talking about, no flags were thrown for some odd reason.

 

The very next kickoff the exact same thing happened, #30 took a bee line to the exact same player, body slammed him to the ground again and grabbed his shoulder pads and slammed his head into the ground a couple times.....right in front of one of the officials, about 30 yards away from the play. Again no flag, but what was even more remarkable and I give all the kudos to the Cooper player and the Cooper Coaching Staff for drilling it into the players heads all week to not retaliate. The player both times didn't retaliate at all because we all know if he did he would of been ejected.

 

The very next kickoff, Cooper Coaches kept the Cooper player out of the kicking team so not to have him reataliate if it happened a 3rd time. Sure enough #30 for Anderson Co. seeing the player wasn't in on this kickoff targeted another player and same thing happened. Not one time was a flag ever thrown, or the kid talked to. Anderson Co. coaches I blame as much as the kid himself for allowing it to happen and not doing anything about it. It was bush league and on a great game and two great teams was the only thing that tarnished a great playoff game.

 

It's bad enough there are kids out there that do this stuff, but is even worse when there are coaching staffs out there that allow it to happen.

Yea, it's sad though because I think it reflects more on the coaching staff than the kid himself.

 

To allow a player to get away with that type of behavior is deplorable and I blame his coaches for allowing it. You know the way he acted I garuntee you this wasn't the first game he's done this type of stuff.
