That is why they are one of the states elite. In any pursuit in life you only get to where you set the bar and that sets Bw apart. As with any job, if you are not reaching the goals set then you are not getting the job done and well we know what the boss has to do if it does not get fixed. If every school set the bar this high they would be alot more successful and why wouldn't they, who likes to finish anything and not be the best? I hate finishing second and I bet Rash and Bw does too

I hope and believe Beechwood will change their offense over the next few years with the talent they have coming up. You'll have Fieger, Stringer, Slusher, Bankamper and Combs for 3 more years. If Beechwood doesn't balance the offense out with these guys they never will..I see at least 2 State Championships from Beechwood with this crew..JMO

 

 

If they don't they will see a similar result, the Cards are also seeing a loaded younger group comming up the pipeline. I fully see more success with that group. Even the middle school program is over the top right now.

Mayfield starts EVERY year with the goal of a state championship, and many of those years with the expectaions of one as well. Does'nt all winning programs?

I hope and believe Beechwood will change their offense over the next few years with the talent they have coming up. You'll have Fieger, Stringer, Slusher, Bankamper and Combs for 3 more years. If Beechwood doesn't balance the offense out with these guys they never will..I see at least 2 State Championships from Beechwood with this crew..JMO

 

The time is now. I'm sure Rash is thinking about this today. I think Rash can do the job. The talent is going to be there. BW needs a complete overhaul of its offense though. Rash needs to quit calling the D-signals and hand off to another. There is too much to manage during a game to be doing that. They will be fine !

The standards are high at Beechwood. We are proud of our success and expect more than what we have achieved the past 4 years. Every facet of the program, strategy, game plans, etc need to be reevaluated. The offense needs to be overhauled. Football today is different. To use an analogy, Beechwood is trying to force the ball to the big man in the middle and ignoring the 3 point line. If you can't pass the ball today, you will have a difficult time being successful. That is just the way it is. It isn't talent alone. Beechwood no doubt had the talent to win it all last year. Everything needs to be evaluated and improved. If the evaluation says change nothing, you didn't do a good enough job evaluating because things have to change.

I expect a somewhat lull in the next few seasons and teams had better take advantage because there are some very good football players on the way up, at every postion. Beechwood you better take advantage in the next few seasons because I see another big run by Mayfield.

When we hit our dry spell we made the decision to develop the spread to make us balanced leaving our old school run til forced to pass behind. That was 07-08. It took until the start of the second season to become a true difference maker as everyone, including a old school coach to trust this approach and buy in. Point is, getting the qb, line, recievers and backs all on the same page, timeinggg and trust does not just happen instantly and that is why you cant decide come playoff time that you are going to become balanced and that was a source of confidence last night for me.

I think we will be a hard out next year, that dominant line that was missing 2 starters last night will be largely back with a qb that is lights out and several good backs. We only have 8 seniors. I think I am more worried about 2 years from now when we are bringing in a new qb and linemen. Enough of me on a BW post, sorry for hijack
