Forgettable? Did he say that Woods was forgettable instead of unforgettable?

The real issue is Sean Woods put his program in the national spotlight for all the wrong reasons. A good ripping might have been deserved but in the process Woods made himself look like Billy Gillispie and that is someone you don't want to look like. It was a dumb, dumb move on his part and could have a negative effect on his career.

 

Until the kids go to the AD complaining about how he treats them he will never look like Billy G except in the eyes of those who want him to look like Billy G.

Probably because he knows what Woods goes off on players and he didn't want him to fa subject to that. According to multiple reports this isn't te first tirade coach has had with a player.

It turns out Woods challenged Atkinson to play smarter when he came off the court, to which Atkinson responded "you mean like when you shot a layup in the final seconds down three at Mississippi State?"

 

Woods then shoved him and Atkinson came back with "or play smart like getting ejected on Senior Night against Tennessee?"

 

Woods then got in his grill and told him he was getting ready to get ejected at Rupp again for fighting.

Apparently, when Atkinson walked to the bench, he asked where his juice box was. That's when Woods told him he would get a juice box when the game was over. Atkinson then asked if he was getting an oatmeal pie too and that's when Woods lost it, pushed him to the bench and said they would ALL get snacks after the game

Started a seperate thread about it but ESPN just reported Coach Woods has been suspended for one game due to Wednesday nights outburst.

I think you're off on this one. A player can't walk off the court with a crappy attitude and cuss the coach. Woods had every right to give Devon an earful. The shove crossed the line but I have no problem with Woods getting in his face.
