November 7, 201213 yr No question in most people's mind that Gov Christie will run in 2016. Will the last week of the campaign this year hurt him or be thrown in his face by Rs that he will compete against? He was very complimentary to the POTUS during Sandy. Lots of visuals that probably made some uncomfortable. Different stories out there about him not showing up this week to campaign. Logic says he stayed because of Sandy but I've read that some Rs feel like he bailed on the Gov. Thoughts?
November 7, 201213 yr I'll be the first in line to support Christie. I had no problems at all with what he did in giving praise to the President. People criticized Christie for what he said/did or didn't do & he strongly stated that this is what's wrong with politics--that we're so divided we can't offer good words when good words are deserved. There are other candidates I would support, but Christie is at the top of the list for me.

November 7, 201213 yr I think it's absolutely ridiculous that people would attack Christie about the way he handled Sandy, in regards to his compliments and working with President Obama. His job as Governor is to do what it takes to help out his state of New Jersey. Had a long discussion about this with my girlfriend last night, she came around thankfully. It's four years away, but I would definitely support Christie if he ran for President. I could care less about the weight. If we can have a black, hispanic (potentially), female (potentially), why now a fat one?
November 7, 201213 yr I think Christie knew he had a good shot of winning this time, but his odds greatly increase this next election. Like all major Republicans, he supported the Governor but people keep acting like it was such a big deal. He stumped for him some, but I think that was just as much about getting himself in the public eye. I think America is ready for a straight forward type candidate like Christie. I think his approach with the American public will be the new wave of politicking.
