November 7, 201213 yr I think Christie knew he had a good shot of winning this time, but his odds greatly increase this next election. Like all major Republicans, he supported the Governor but people keep acting like it was such a big deal. He stumped for him some, but I think that was just as much about getting himself in the public eye. I think America is ready for a straight forward type candidate like Christie. I think his approach with the American public will be the new wave of politicking. Do you think America can handle a "straight forward" canidate?
November 7, 201213 yr Do you think America can handle a "straight forward" canidate? We shall see. It it a breath of fresh air to hear him speak which is why he is as popular as he is. But I think if in a situation he is going up against a typical waffling candidate, he will be just fine.

The fact the is straight forward is refreshing to many but I do not think it will be a positive or a negative overall. It will still come down to issues for the most part IMO. He would be loved AND hated by many because of his personality.

While we see the kool-aid drinkers at conventions and campaign rallies that cry and gush when their candidate is on stage, most Americans I really feel are not like that. Most people I encounter get fed up with the waffling and political mannerisms of these characters. They support one side or the other, but they are looking for someone to be more straight forward in their demeanor and message.

Yeah I did not see that as working across party lines or at least that to determine the basis for it as you stated. Each had an obligation to their citizens and they were working together on recovery efforts.
