Featured Replies

Former Scott Count player and son of Coach Hicks Tyler Elder died a a result of a car wreck.

I heard he had a wreck and was in critical condition 2 nights ago. My deepest condolences to coach Hicks and his family and all of those in the SC community.

One should never have to bury their children. Sorry to hear that.

I have been praying for him since I heard the news. My thoughts and prayers are with the Hicks family and the Scott Co community.

Tough, hard-nosed ball player and fun to watch - made for a few "Battle Royals" with Mason County a few years back.

Sad news.

Sad news.

I echo all of those sentiments, always brought it,especially against the Royals and being the son of Billy he had to go thru some of the worst road taunts and chants night in and night out and it just fueled him so it seemed, what a player and person to make it through 4 years of that. Very, very sad news indeed.

I'll never forget when he kissed the floor as his career ended in the state tournament back in '04 I think it was.

Prayers for the Hicks family... Awful news.

Prayers to the Hicks family.

It was just two days ago I sent a PM to PP92 asking if he hear what happened as during that day I noticed several posts on Facebook to pray for coach Hicks and his family, but nothing was said about what happened. Later that night I heard that he was in serious but stable condition and possibly going to improve.

My thoughts and prayers are with Coach Hicks and his family. Tyler was a warrior! Played hard and all out all the time.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Coach Hicks and his family. Can't imagine the devastation they are going through. To young to go so soon.
