C'mon, we all took Spanish at some point, even if you dropped out of high school....

HC played more dirty that the Bellevue teams of the late 90's. Plain and simple they are not a good team this year. People can make every excuse in the book, dropped pass bad blocking bad QB bad special teams awful D. Well its football you have to make plays. If HC could block run catch tackle they could beat Trinity. Thats how the game works if you cant do those things you are a bad team and will not win. Its like in basketball, well if we make every shot we win, no crap but it wont happen. HC isnt good this year and NewCath is. Stop making excuses deal with it and move on. If HC survives to meet NewCath in playoffs there will be a running clock again. A game is not close if played with a running clock for 10 minutes in the third and entire 4th. HC needs to give it up and move forward. Nothing wrong with losing to a superior team. As for taking shots at Lawnboy, you are way off base. If you look at all NewCath game threads when the Breds lost and didnt play well he didnt make 10 post full of excuses he flat out called thr Breds out on their bad play.

Thank you very much. Trust me there are quite a few NewCath faithful, who know who I am, that I get an hearful from because of said posts. But I call it how I see it and I'm not going to hold back.

Our fellow fans. Some of our compatriots sound like Highlands fans after wins and CovCath fans after losses. Mr. Schneider always taught, win w/ class and lose w/ dignity. Some of us forgot that.

 

mex ... I know you have mentioned this in the past and I have to agree with you. If you asked me who has the craziest fans in N. Ky., I would probably go with NCC. The stuff I have heard in the stands when playing NCC, especially following losses by NCC, I have not heard at any other high school. I know this is a minority of fans and there are many more good fans than crazy, but NCC sure has more than its share of crazies IMO.

I am not going to get in the middle of where this thread headed the last 20 posts or so. NCC won 49-10. Not very happy about it. Still passionate about HC football. Sun came out today. Holmes next week. Should be interesting considering last year's HC team was shutting them out in the 3rd quarter when the power went out. Then HC plays Owen County in the first round of the playoffs. Many on here talk about NCC and HC meeting again for a regional final. That will NOT happen this year because HC is a 3 seed. If both win in the first round, they could play in the SECOND round (not the third). Isn't that true? I'm basing that on the fact that Lloyd beat Walton Verona last year in the first round and then played NCC. Lloyd was the 3 and NCC was the 1 last year.

You know what im saying. The Breds JV got the win this morning as well. The JV team should be pretty tired playing 95% of the second half last night and a game this am. Congrats to the jv Breds!

I love NewCath but I watch games from the biergarden. NewCath, of all the local Catholic schools, has to have the most intertwined familial relationships. Their is a true passion for the school, a true passion. Generation after generation has guaranteed that. It bothers me greatly that my boys will be.going to Highlands instead of NewCath bc I want them to have that "family" feeling. Often in tight games that passion becomes zealous. Not NewCath's greatest quality, but there is sooo much pride in the community. A lot of people sacrifice so much financially to send their kids through. Just a lot of emotional investment. I love it. Just wish we didn't complain or brag so much.

For sure, every school has them. We sat in the CovCath section for the CC v Highlands game. Every call was griped about, every one. It was terrible.
