Add Pendleton Bracken Augusta St. Pat's Mason County Robertson County that gets you to fourteen. Do you leave Scott and Calvary for your 16 team region or do you move them with all the other Kenton County schools and keep Bourbon and Paris????? Or Harrison?

I realize that a 16 team region is not necessarily what the state needs but that has to be the minimum to keep away from the 3 team districts.

So with the 6th and 7th being represented by Jefferson how would the rest of the Commonwealth like the 8th, 9th and 10th being represented by Kenton, that would be 5 of the sweet 16 from two counties!

Just curious as to why Highlands would fight this move more than NCC Newport Bellevue and Dayton?

I do know one thing is certain, Paris and Bourbon Co. will no longer be in the same district. Call it crazy but watch and see. The two will not meet in their annual gridiron matchup either after this season.

Alright you are correct. My memory isn't what it used to be because I thought I saw something similar to that.

If the KHSAA would move all of the Campbell County schools to the 10th, the sound of anguish you would hear in the distance would be all of the 10th Region traditionalists and hard-liners throwing themselves on their swords.

 

My perception is that the 37th District teams from "extreme Northern Kentucky" are tolerated because they have to be. I'm sure behind closed doors the 37th is considered a cancer growing on the venerable 10th Region. :lol:

I love having them in our region. Enjoyed the 10th region when it was at the KBO and would love to have it there again. I have made lots of friends from that area and I for one am glad you are part of the 10th.

Not sure why this would be a big deal for the Campbell County schools to move to the 10th. Other than the tradition and excitement of trying to advance by beating a CovCath or Holmes in the regional, not much else would change.

 

Teams would still play a full NKAC schedule, district would remain the same, and dare I say - getting to Rupp may be a little easier. I'm not bashing current 10th region programs but other than the program at Mason Co, the region as listed above by SDC looks a little softer than the 9th.

By the time you play District and NKAC opponents the schedule is rather limited. I don't see travel being an issue for regular season games. As is the case with Scott they play the District and NKAC schedule and only play 4 other 10th region opponents (PC, MC, HC, GRC).

 

For current teams like Newport they already have 10th region teams on the schedule such as Augusta, Bracken, and St. Patrick. Hypothetically speaking if the 36th district teams did move to the 10th, I don't see significant changes to the schedule occuring outside 2-4 games.
