October 11, 201213 yr If Dusty was coming back, wouldn't he have resigned by now, with a 90+ win season, before any possible demise in the playoffs. I don't think Dusty is back, not after his medical issues he had at the end of the season. I agree. I think he needed to have a good showing, LCS in a tight series or the WS.
October 11, 201213 yr I hate to bring this up right now, but i have to! It seemed like Dusty made good decisions in game 1 and we stole that victory, but his decisions the last 2 days are killing us. Did anyone think about that if he would have walked Arias in the 10th last night after the passed ball the Giants would have either had to let Romo bat or pinch hit for him. If they would have pinch hit for him Lincecum would have came into the game and we would not have had to see him today. Short term it may not have hurt them last night, but it would have hurt them for today's game. Also, the decision to start Leake has to be questioned now. Everyone said Leake or Latos. Why couldn't we have started Lecure gone 2 or 3 innings (probably 2), followed him with Arrondo for 1, Simon for 2, Hoover for 1 and then finished off with our Big 3? IF it works we still have Cueto for the next series, instead we go with a pitcher that hasn't pitched for over 10 days and his confidence had probably taken a big hit because of being left off the roster. I would argue if he is better than Lecure and Simon then he should have been on the roster and not one of them. If he is not better then why bring him back at the expense of Cueto and the next series? Been saying this for two days!!!

Especially, with a team struggling offensively. I would've been fine either way but I didn't think it was a terrible decision.

Frazier facing Conto or Affedlt can't remember or Frazier facing Castilla? He waited to long to use his bullets!

While everyone thinks the hit and run was questionable, I thought it was justifiable. Even the announcer mentioned it prior to them running on the first 3-2 pitch.

If you trust him to handle the bat much, you should trust him with a hit and run there.

It was a double steal to prevent the double play on a ground ball and he was hoping for a ball four. Had it been a hit and run, Hanigan swings the bat especially on strike 3.
