October 13, 201213 yr I'm not going to lie. I do think he had a slight edge, but in all honestly, given Biden's seasoned history, it shouldn't' have been close and that's beneficial for Romney/Ryan. Ryan did well enough to show he'd be able to serve as VP. I've never understood how a 2-hour debate performance, short of spontaneously growing horns out of one's head on the spot, is a criterion for vice-presidential qualification. Regardless of party affiliation.

October 13, 201213 yr Actually thought Biden did what he was told to do in the debate, and thought that Ryan did what he was told to do in the debate. Personally, I think it hurt the Obama campaign and slightly helped the Romney campaign. I don't think the debate had the impact the presidential debate had. I have never been so excited after a presidential debate as I was with the Romney/Obama debate. To think that I was going to feel this way about the VP debate would be a stretch. I loved seeing Danville and Centre College put on a show as only they can. They have a way of doing big things that most never know about. Love that place. To the debate, Biden came across as , can't say it here , I'll go to the principals office, but you know what I mean. Ryan tried to get his point out as best he could, despite Joe and "what's her name"moderator, he did a good job. I will agree with the bolded but don't under estimate the effect of Biden's comments on Libya. His statement reflects not just on him but on Obama as well.

Their expectations were that Biden would have a no doubter win and they don't see that as having happened. They are also worried that while they liked the performance, it may have turned off the undecided voters either side will need.
