Conner 38 Cooper 21

Is it safe to say Barker and Fogle are the best 1-2 combo in NKY?

I would venture to say that combo is one of the best in the state.. Not just NKY.

It was a designed fake punt. Stupid play that far back imo. If you are talking about Cooper's.

Conner's I don't know.

Sorry. I meant Conner's.

I believe Conner's fake punt was an option for Fogle to punt or keep the ball.

Until Cooper takes its first loss, all you hear is how Cooper's head coach has worked miracles, how amazing he is, what a great coach, How Cooper is going to shock 5A and make a deep run in the playoffs etc.. They loose, and now there is a lynch mob after his staff, and Cooper will "never" win a playoff game.. That is a shame to hear, but I expected it.

There is no lynch mob and yes it is one loss. If you would have watched any of the previous 6 games you would have heard several times some of the Cooper faithfull say that they don't make adjustments.

And to awk4572, Yes they did make adjustments after half of the game had went by and we spotted them 21 points.

Borches is our coach and we will always be Cooper fans. 6-1 or 1-6

Everyone, I'm getting a little concerned about Fridaynightfan. I think we need to assemble a search party to locate him. Last I heard, he was spotted under the bleachers last night. Sure hope he's ok.

I think he is hangin with UK#1Fan :isurrender:

Very good game with two very good football teams. I'd say if these two teams played 10 times, they would split evenly.

Am I the only one who saw the adjustments though? Looked to me like Cooper went to a man defense and went more to a spread offense.. Tough to come back from down 21. Both of these teams have a lot of fight in them and I would not at all be surprised to see them meet again in the playoffs!

Now thats funny !

Cooper may be in a bit of trouble the rest of the way. If Morris is actually going to be out for a while with his knee injury, the back up QB has been banged up the last 2 weeks with a smashed finger on his throwing hand. He was the holder on place kicks and hasn't been able to do that for 3 weeks now. It could be intresting to see who they go to if neither can play QB for the Jags.

I'd hate to see their great season come down to this, we'll keep our fingers crossed that they can continue without missing a beat.

Losing Morris would be a huge blow to Cooper. It would be like Holy Cross last year losing Fuller. With the backup hurting also, would Cooper move the WR who has played a lot of QB into the QB role?

I wish they would, but they haven't given him any snaps this year at all. He has only played QB at the high school level in 2 games in his 2 years on varsity and that was at JV last year. He had a good record of 5 TD passes to 0 int's. But I think they like him at the WR position too much to move him. I personally would get him snaps this week in practice just to see.

I have a feeling they will go and see how their backupp does with his finger. He did come in as QB wwhen Morris went out friday night, but they didn[t hhave him try any passes the short time he was in.

You go with your best athlete who will give the team the best chance to win. If it is the WR, then that's what you do IMO.

That is ture. I just don't know how he would take to it. Last year was the very first time in his football life (which started in 1st grade) that he ever played WR and he was very good at it. Led the team as a sophomore with yards per catch and fell in love with the position. I'm with you though, you put the best player at each position and go from there.

Like I said, I think the regular back up will be the one they go to. It's been 3 weeks ssince his finger injury and hopefully that has been long enough to recover. If it still bbothers him then we'll know right away, with that finger if it is still affecting him theen the passes will probably sail. He's got a very good arm so I hope his finger is good. He wasn't the holder this past game so I wonder if it was just a precaution more than still be injured.

Hopefully he will realize that without a decent, healthy QB, he's not going to succeed at WR either. So he may as well try to make it happen on the other end.

I agree, and he would have no problem playing that position I don't think. The only tthing that could worry him is the lack of snaps this year in practice at that positon whhich equals 0. I don't think that would be the issue, the issue would be wether or not Borchers would make the move. I think the coach is the one who likes him in his current position more than moving him.
