Looks like 5A could be wide open!

Congrats to the Conner Cougars, you played a great game and the better team tonight deffinately won.

Cooper dug themselves too big of a hole in the first half and could only muster cominng back within a TD the second half. Conner's O-line did great and cooper didn't have an answer for them. Barker had a great game with only 1 mistake, the rest of the game he was on fire. Best game I ever seen him have.

Congrats again Cougars, the better team won tonight.

Lots of football left and the top 3 teams are undefeated still.

Great win Conner!!!

I'm happy for my BG-Conner connection. Keep getting better every game.

Impressive win for the Cougars. Putting up 38 on the Cooper defense ... I believe they had only given up 40 some points all year coming into the game. As good as the Cougars offense is, I did not expect them to score that many in this game.

Conner's offensive and defensive lines played fantastic tonight. Controlled the line of scrimmage. Cooper did not have an answer for Barker or Fogle. Fogle again, had another huge night. Three touchdowns, and two interceptions. Showed his speed on TD runs of 60 and 40 yards, once he gets in the open he's gone. #31 and #7 for Cooper played good games as well. #8 was a non factor. Conner showed a lot of emotion tonight, and proved that they can stop a good offense. They were gang tackling, swarming to the ball.

Great win for Conner, They beat a good Cooper team. Let's put the "Cooper is the better team" talks to bed. They were out matched and outplayed tonight.

Impressive win by the Cougars tonight. Good game plan by Coach Trosper and the Cougar coaches. Looked like the Cougars came out with some new formations that really caught the Jaguars off guard. One that seemed to work well was when Conner put Andrew Way in at running back. Kid showed some impressive vision and elusiveness. That formation also seemed to free up Fogle and Barker, who made some huge plays.

Conner was the better team tonight, but the season isn't over yet.

Both teams played very hard, could of been closer, AJ Collins scored on the 2nd to last drive but the refs marked the ball short which we still scratch our heads over, but that score may have been too late anyway.

Question for anyone else who saw this....the little skirmish that went on, a Cooper receiver had his helmet knocked off, was on the ground and 2 Conner players kicked him in the head which started the fight....why weren't there any flags thrown? Can someone explain that one to me?

Don't get me wrong, this is not saying that had anything to do with the outcome of the game at all. II was just curious to why the refs let it get so out of hand a couple times. Shoot, I would of thrown a flag on my own kid after one play when he and a CB were going at it later in the game after the whistle. Hopefully this crew who officiated the game can control their next game a little better before a player gets hurt. That is my biggest concern.

There were no flags thrown because what you mentioned is not what happened. I'll explain it as clearly as it happened.. Nobody kicked anyone.. If two players both kicked someone in the head they would have been thrown out of the game. Yes there was some pushing and shoving, initiated by Cooper, I will add, but there were no punches thrown, and most certainly no kicks.. I had a clear line of sight to the incident, because I was standing in the bleachers on the Conner side of the field. It happened right in front of me.

And that "score" that you are scratching your head over.. The Cooper player's knee was down before he reached the ball towards the goal line. They got that call right. At first I thought they may have called a fumble, but his knee was clearly down before the ball crossed the goal line, and before it came out.

Great win for the Cougars. Cooper helped the cause when the team came to the Conner sidelines to run through their cheerleader banner. Bush league. Run out of the end zone like everyone else. That intimidation tactic kind of backfired. Fueled the fire. Maybe next game they will stay on their own side.

No one got kicked the head. Helmets need to be strapped for protection not comfort. Refs called the foul to get control back. Conner played with fire and was very aggressive. Learn the difference between dirty and aggressive.

Great game plan Coaches!

Sorry to disagree with you, I was standing on the sidelines and thought what I saw was a couple kicks to the poor kids head (btw it wasn't cooper who started it) and then the pushing etc. started. Heard after the game from the player himself and another who was in the middle of it exactely what happened. I'm not defending Cooper players here at all because after they saw what was going on they are the ones who started the pushing etc. What I am asking is why wasn't a flag thrown. I could care less if they called the penalty on Cooper for retaliating or threw it on Conner, my concern is the officiating can't let that go on period. Someone could get seriously hurt if the game isn't controlled better than that.

Agree with queen of pink here. I think the Cooper players coming to the Conner side of the field to run through the cheerleaders was total bush league. That move was uncalled for the and definitely didn't work..

I would expect to hear things about the officiating from the Cooper faithful, because their team got beat. Conner has never been a dirty team, and wasn't tonight. They played physical and aggressive. They not only beat Cooper on the score board, but they beat them up with their play. The Cooper boys will be sore tomorrow.
