14/24 against Moeller is all i know but im almost positive we threw against Bowling Green a good amount. Anywhere from 5-15 in the Dutch Fork gm.

All you have to do is look at scoreboard. Against BGreen they were 5 of 12 with 2 picks; Dutch Fork 7 of 14 for 60 yards

Actually X practices the pass just as much as the run.

Against Central they were 5 of 12 passing for 6 yards. They rushed 35 times for 226 yards. Seems pretty even to me.

You said practice.

You said practice.

And repititions. You can't practice game speed. Passing remains Plan D. It is after run left, run right and run middle.

I believe 8-10 of those passes were in the first half against BG. Passing game was non existent in second half of the BG once Gahafer went out.

Question, for a running team, is it the yards or attempts that one looks at? Or both?

Not sure where you got your numbers but you are wrong. Gahafer was 2 - 5 -1 int for 6 yards. People who didn't see the game are making comments that are baseless. X was able to build their 20-0 lead based on a blocked punt and several defensive stops which resulted in short fields, especially in the first half. They didn't need to pass due to the short fields. The strong winds played a role in this too as punting into it was difficult at best. They had the lead and were comfortable running the ball, using up clock and shortening the game. Kind of what they did to Moeller mid way thrrough the third quarter and all of the fourth.

I know Trinity's defensive line is a strength of their team, but in a close game in the second half X's running attack could make this a little closer than most people expect. I'm not a coach, but if they can keep T's playmakers off the field for periods of time they have a formula in place to compete well.

Honestly if X has success running the ball why do anything different? It will be T's job to stop the run, plain and simple. If they do that they will win, plain and simple. If X eats up 6:30 of the clock every time they have the ball they could win it, plain and simple. Boy this game seems pretty plain and simple, huh?

 isn't every game. Defense stop offense and offense scores points. Then you win the game.

I think the use of all 3 backs will play a huge role in this game, especially Fred i think he alone will wear down a defense.

Hey Tiger nation... if you are happy with the passing game and the record your team has then by all means enjoy. My point has been for years and again this season that an influx of passing is what X needs to be the top dog. Sure, there have been seasons when the running game brings the trophy to poplar level road, but IMO Trinity would be sharing more of their trophies if X didn't puit all the eggs in that basket. I'm sure all Trinity fans pray Coach Will keeps things the same.

I think that the St.X offense will be the best T has faced al year, on the flip side T will be the best O & defense the Tigers have faced all year. The Tigers have got the play the best defense they have played all year plus they must pass successfully and control the ball to have a chance. This will be the first of two games they will play this year so it will be interesting to see how much of a gap the Tigers have to close. In the end I hate to say this but T just has too many play makers on both sides of the ball and will win. T- 35 X-17. I hope the rematch will be different.

I'm not for sure this will be the best offense the Rocks have faced this year, but it will be a challenge for them. I also think the Bowling Green offense was a great test for the Tigers D.

This is a great post with one exception... IMO Louisville St. X is not the best offense Trinity has faced. Keep in mind Trinity has played Highlands, Brentwood, Cincy St.X, & MBA all of whom IMO have a better offense than Lou X.

I respectfully disagree and think you will change your mind about the St. X offense after the game.

Great crowd and $ raised at banquet today. Kirk H was entertaining and picked X to win by 21 because they play Big Ten football.....j/k
