There are websites that will show the percentage of population by county that is below the poverty level. Granted, that isn't exactly what you asked for but reason would suggest that the higher the percentage under the poverty level, most likely the higher the percentage on welfare.

Wow! Something I can agree with. It is what Gov Romney is saying. That is why he will lose the election. He doesn't realize how many people find that rediculous stereotype to be offensive. As someone that has never been given any of the things on that foul list, I will proudly vote to reelect President Obama. Some may find it funny. I suspect they also enjoy racial jokes, ethnic jokes, making fun of handicaps and any number of other things I find objectionable.

It's better to be aware of race than to be dumb, deaf and blind about it.

It would be in Census data somewhere, but I know this, Owsley county is one of the poorest counties in the entire country let alone Kentucky. Welfare is probably the biggest source of income in that county by far and that county is not listed as going for Obama.

I don't know about the a web site that would show a precentage of population on welfare but I can tell you these are not the most welfare afflicted counties in the state. I live in Henderson and while we have our share of people on welfare there is no way it ranks amoung the highest in the state.

I have no concern with race. As far as color goes? Yeah, color means a great deal to me. The color GREEN!The favorite color of all true capitalists.

As far as the voting goes, to be honest if you're too lazy to get a job and rely solely on handouts I doubt you're making the trip to the polls. Before someone starts complaining I'm not saying every person that's on welfare is lazy but far too many are.

First of all I didn't say every person who supports Obama is on government assistance. I said that it is his plan to get as many people as possible on assistance thus securing their vote. I think his record and the 46.7 million food stamps would attest to that. Secondly, if you are looking for a stereotype you just made a post full of them. So everyone who isn't with you laughs at racial jokes, ethnic jokes and makes fun of handicaps.
