I've said it before and I'll say it again, Kuntz has improved by leaps and bounds. He's made so many plays with his feet, he reminds me of the light version of Lawrence. His growth has really helped him a ton, he's making plays he couldn't have dreamed about in 2011.

 

I checked out a bit of the game on IHigh. The kid passes the look test.

Now on to the game.......Can the NewCath defense TACKLE SOMEBODY???? Lord have mercy this was UGLY!!! Way too many missed tackles that led to just about every SK score, but have to give credit to the SK QB. So many times it looked like he was going to be taking a big loss in the backfield and low and behold he would escape. The young man can throw the ball, especially on the run, WOW! NewCath's WR Mac Franzen made some very nice catches on some beautiful throws from Josh Cain and the offense did a pretty good job, but the defense has a lot of work to do. The Breds moved the ball good on their final possession, however with less than 2:00 to go Cain fumbles the ball on the SK 5 and that's the ball game. One thing that was being talked about in the stands.....Why is NewCath giving the oppositions recievers so much of a cushion????:idunno:

From what I saw of the game, I believe that the Breds should do good in district play. The game between them and Lloyd could be really interesting. As far as Simon Kenton goes, Kuntz really impressed me with throwing the ball. He is definitely good. As of now, I believe that NKY 6A is still up in the air.

I came away with a few thoughts. 1. Kuntz is incredible in the pocket. He is very slippery, but doesn't run after making pros miss. He waits for his receivers to get open. He is fun to watch. 2. The NewCath team that played tonight was light years better than the one from 2 weeks ago. LIGHT YEARS. 3. NewCath is at a crossroads. Right now they are are a state title team with the caveat that the mistakes theyadr tonight (missed snaps, bad snaps, multiple offsides penalties) get corrected now. 4. The d needs to be much more disciplined. Breakdown on tackles, never lose contain, and find receivers in your zone. They are right there, right on the cusp of a special end to their season. The pieces are ready, it is time for the players to start finishing the puzzle.

 

Great points. How many bad snaps did Cain handle? He pulled one shotgun snap off the turf and still made the quick pitch to Hayes and it went for 80 yards. The hard snap count really hurt them tonight but I think they have the talent to bring home a title. SK has a pretty stout run defense and NCC really didn't dent it up the middle but I don't see too many AA defenses being better than the Neers. NCC has the skill players to do some damage for sure.

He's really filled in over the past year. During basketball season (he's also a very good shooter) I had to ask who #2 was since I never saw him without his helmet. He's very athletic. I spoke to his former frosh coach and he told me that he was always the most athletic kid on the field but he was weak. Now at 190 lbs and his lateral speed is better than his straight on speed which is a good characteristic for a QB. He's also not forcing things, he gets flushed from the pocket and he lets the play progress but he isn't forcing it. Sadly for me I think he'll pass me on the yardage totem pole after next week.:cry::cry:

Your team allowed NCC to score 20 and you still think SK is one of the best? Ryle may have an answer for you.

 

NCC's offense is better than Ryle. They were very effective throwing throwing the ball down field. Of coarse, we need not be concerned about such things with Ryle. Stop them on first down, put them in passing situations, and they are punting!

Marksberry to stubborn and stupid to understand that #11 is a difference maker. Wants to pretend he is one of the big boys with his platoon. His ego will cost them in the end. Terrible. Can't believe he keeps his job, but when you are also the AD, who is going to fire you?

 

That stupid ignorant coach at SK is looking like Coach of the Year in NKy right now. You have plenty of your own challenges in Ft. Mitchell these days, why don't you crawl back into your whole and deal with them!

#11 can flatout FLY!! :notworthy: He came out of nowhere to chase Franzen down on the 1st long pass play. At 1st everyone though it would be a TD, but HOLY COW, all of of sudden there was #11 catching Mac before he could get in the endzone.

I was more impressed with Swanson running Hayes down from the opposite side of the field on his long run. The kid was flat out jetting across the field!

Huge plays made by both teams last night. Sampson's grab I'm the end zone was a man's play, unbelievable. Franzen's 1st long catch over the middle on 3rd down. Huesman's catch on 3rd and 8 on the sideline, how he got a foot in I will never know. Of course the muffled snap on 4th down.

The issues we are facing in Ft. Mitchell is that our coaches schedule teams to get our Tigers ready for the playoffs. Your coach knows your only shot at glory is to schedule 1 and 2A schools and hope the regular season masks how inept he is at running a program. Who will the 2013 transfers be?

No disrespect to CC but the NCC team that played last night could not have been the one that lost that bad to the Camels. From what I understand, Campbell is basically a 1 man show and they did a decent job of slowing an SK offense that can hurt you several ways. Think much better things to come for the Breds if they continue to play that way.
