I was more impressed with Swanson running Hayes down from the opposite side of the field on his long run. The kid was flat out jetting across the field!

 

That was impressive.

Taking a team that was 2-9 and playing pretty much the same schedule this year and winning every game so far is very good. 5-0 soon to be 6-0! Glad you won the award.

 

So, he was the Coach of the 2-9 team as well, right? Its a different year, different kids, different kids on the opponent's teams so the comparison year-to-year for High School just doesn't work.

 

Also, I wouldn't brag about playing the same schedule. If SK makes it past the regionals, then I he would get my vote, but let's see SK beat some decent teams close to their own size before giving out any awards.

My take on this game: NCC lost it more than SK won it. Too many sloppy penalties by NCC including 3 offside calls. Gotta learn those hard counts. Also, not sure what the problem was with the bad snaps but they need to work on that and get it together. Cain always looked like he was afraid to get hit and would rush to get rid of the ball. Mason Myers was a stud on defense but where was everyone else?!

Great game by Swanson; especially when he tracked down the NCC player who would have surely scored if not for Swanson catching up with him. We've been watching this kid since he played bball at Summit View against our St. Mary boys and he's always been so fun to watch! Good luck to both teams the rest of the season.
