My thoughts....SK needs better balance running and passing the ball. Their QB is a play maker and is very talented but need to see some more out of the run game. 11 who plays DB for SK needs a chance to play offense. WOW he can really move!! That young man in the slot, get the ball in open field nobody would lay on a hand on him, to quick!. SK is very good with potential to be a great team. NewCath needs to hang on to the ball a little better, and TACKLE. Cain played well. Franzen has great hands and Hayes really brings it on every play. IMO NewCath names the score in their district game and will beat HC by 3-4 TDs. The Breds suffer another L but keep getting better playing very good competition. It was nice to meet several BGP members at half. I now now the best way to prepare crow! Both of these teams will be tough to beqt.

#11 can flatout FLY!! :notworthy: He came out of nowhere to chase Franzen down on the 1st long pass play. At 1st everyone though it would be a TD, but HOLY COW, all of of sudden there was #11 catching Mac before he could get in the endzone.

Mac Franzen is the Man, he brings "it" on both sides of the ball. :notworthy:

Here is Simon Kenton's stats.

Brenan Kuntz 17 / 30 241 8.0 3 touchdowns passing

Andrew Sampson 15 104 6.9 1 rushing touchdown

Grant Wassom 8 catches 86

Jacob Huesman 7 catches 96 1 touchdown

Lars McEntyre 1 catch 21 1 touchdown

Andrew Sampson 1 catch 38 1 touchdown

How could I forget? The 20 plus people that voted for NewCath have a nice big rotten Crow! :D

I skipped the Crow, I'm having pizza instead. Congrats to your Pioneers on a excellent game tonight.

I agree about Swanson (#11), he could really add some extra spice to their offense. I came away impressed with Franzen, the kid is a player. No turnovers for SK while NCC had a few, two coming in the red zone.

Sampson's TD catch was a thing of beauty. Two or three Breds up in his face and he goes up high to make the catch while getting interfered with. Sure we have our only victories over historically good A's and AA's and two below average larger schools but I can't complain after a 5-0 start considering we won two games in 2011 and those same teams beat us good. The real season starts next week and I expect a battle in Union.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Kuntz has improved by leaps and bounds. He's made so many plays with his feet, he reminds me of the light version of Lawrence. His growth has really helped him a ton, he's making plays he couldn't have dreamed about in 2011.

Just wait till he gets on the hardwood this winter!

SK didn't even run their bread and butter plays tonight. Ryle will get some garbage game film tonight. SK also rested a couple players. Ryle didn't do anything against Colerain. Ryle will be a speed bump for SK! 10PM next Friday SK will be 6-0!

I understand abt not running certain plays, but you must not have seen the Ryle/Colerain game. I did not say SK wouldn't beat Ryle I am saying you'd better hope so...Good luck.

I watched the Ryle/Colerain game and Ryle didn't do anything. They had one play for 7 yards wow!

Head-scratcher of the game......How in the world that pass was not interceped, let alone not knocked down, is beyond me. The young man made a heck of a catch in "heavy traffic". :notworthy:

Defense wasn't too bad. I really thought the score would've been worse. Anyway, I want SK to do well. Are there any common opponents b/w SK & Ryle to this point?

I came away with a few thoughts. 1. Kuntz is incredible in the pocket. He is very slippery, but doesn't run after making pros miss. He waits for his receivers to get open. He is fun to watch. 2. The NewCath team that played tonight was light years better than the one from 2 weeks ago. LIGHT YEARS. 3. NewCath is at a crossroads. Right now they are are a state title team with the caveat that the mistakes theyadr tonight (missed snaps, bad snaps, multiple offsides penalties) get corrected now. 4. The d needs to be much more disciplined. Breakdown on tackles, never lose contain, and find receivers in your zone. They are right there, right on the cusp of a special end to their season. The pieces are ready, it is time for the players to start finishing the puzzle.

Your team allowed NCC to score 20 and you still think SK is one of the best? Ryle may have an answer for you.

Marksberry to stubborn and stupid to understand that #11 is a difference maker. Wants to pretend he is one of the big boys with his platoon. His ego will cost them in the end. Terrible. Can't believe he keeps his job, but when you are also the AD, who is going to fire you?
