I understand a member of the Ryle football team was being disciplined by Coach Warner and in general terms the player told Coach Warner to "stick it" to which Coach Warner told the player to leave the football field and the player refused claiming he didn't have to leave. The Boone County Sheriff's Department was called, the player in question still was "acting a fool" and they ended up having to use a taser on him.

My thoughts are this is unbelievable! Wow.....

Doesn't surprise me. Anymore kids have no respect for anyone or anything, including themselves. They feel their are no consequences for their actions.

Unfortunately, I smell a lawsuit brewing. I hope that is not the case but anymore, parents never want to think their child is in the wrong; they immediately blame the school, coaches, police, etc.

Agree that there has been a drastic decline in respect for authority by today's youth, however I don't think it's fair to let one or a few bad apples ruin the entire bushel. Hate to hear this story.

While not condoning the actions of this youth, I have had conversation with a number of kids who have dropped from the program. I get the impression that the culture of the program is pretty totalitarian.

If the youngman was not obeying the commands of the Boone Cty Sheriffs Dept and there was no other way to get him under control than I have no problem with the use of a taser. Unfortunate incident but it sounds as if this needed to be done. With this said it seems that there may be some deeper issues with the Ryle program. Can anyone shed any light on what may be happening at Ryle.

True, when we would have got home our father would have beat us senseless, and for good reason :lol: Today some kids have ZERO respect and personal responsibility is non-existant.

From reading things in the softball & controversial issues thread's, relating to Haylee Smith and other softball players, it looks like there are quite a few issues with Ryle.????? :idunno:

Has anybody stopped to consider whether the discipline was appropriate??? You are collectively jumping to conclusions. There is precedent for the administration of discipline considered inappropriate within the Ryle athletic department.

If the facts presented are correct the style used by Bryson is 100% immaterial. Even if the reason for being told to leave is considered trivial by most the kid failed to follow the rules set forth by the head coach. It's really that simple.
