So 60 other kids on the team couldn't kick the player off the field?

No. Refusal to comply with the Sheriff's department would be unacceptable and result in being tased.

I'm not disputing the need for the kid to comply with law enforcement. I'm asserting that making assertions of sexual violations in the coarse of a coach administering discipline have occurred and NOT BEEN disciplined. I am asserting that there are issues with the Ryle Athletic culture that may have influenced the behavior of this kid up until this point.

Tasing over not getting off the field that is going overboard. I hope the kid is ok.

Has anybody stopped to consider whether the discipline was appropriate??? You are collectively jumping to conclusions. There is precedent for the administration of discipline considered inappropriate within the Ryle athletic department.

Sure have, and BOE policies are what they are. Boone Co and Kenton Co did have the same policy when it comes to these issues.

When a person is asked to leave the premises of a BOE property and they refuse to do so on there own, authorities are to be called to handle the situation.

Sounds like that is what happened to me.

He did not get tased over not leaving the field, he got tased because he refused to follow orders of law enforcement.

From reading things in the softball & controversial issues thread's, relating to Haylee Smith and other softball players, it looks like there are quite a few issues with Ryle.????? :idunno:

Sounds like some serious jumping to conclusions here. The softball issue/and various threads relating to it comes entirely from one family's point of view and has no connection to whatever happened with the football issue.

As for the football event, there are two separate questions - "What happened that caused the coach to call in the Sheriff?" and "What happened once the cops showed up to cause them to taz the kid?" The sheriff would have nothing to do with the coaches interactions with the team prior to them arriving, just as the coach would have no control over the young man being tazzed. I am sure the administration there is appalled that things escalated to this level.

Lot's of speculation without any facts.

All the week before SK invades Cupcakeville! :D

Why say such an inflammatory thing? Is this based on the one family's claim on another thread about a coach using a very ugly word? I don't believe there was ever any claim of a "sexual violation" ? Doesn't seem right to fuel a fire based on misinformation.

I misspoke. Please refer to the thread previously posted. Research the threads by SoftballFan14. Go back and research the threads regarding Sydney Moss transfer from Ryle to Boone.

I thought I heard a ship sinking! :D

Unfortunately, I smell a lawsuit brewing. I hope that is not the case but anymore, parents never want to think their child is in the wrong; they immediately blame the school, coaches, police, etc.

Would be a waste of money on the parents part if that were the case. Coach sounds like he handled it right.

I believe Coach Warner places restrictions on posting to this forum by those close the program.

I have heard that a lot of coaches throughout the state have similar policies about reading or posting on BGPs but they sure can't help themselves from reading what is being said on a frequent basis. Let me assure you that most if not all coaches read BGPs from time to time not to mention a few administrators whom I know that like to follow along as well. I find it rather humorous.

Doesn't matter, coach is human so even if he was in the wrong he's still the coach and part of the Ryle administration. If the Coach or any member of the Ryle faculty tells the player to get off the field regardless of whether or not it's "fair" that student has to. If he chooses not to comply then it should/was escelated to the Boone County Sherriff and should be handled accordingly from there. There is no "well maybe the coach was out of line or being unreasonable", it doesn't work that way. Far too many of todays youth and young adults think that society should let them have a say in every thing its ridiculous and could probably be resolved by more backhanded parenting.

Just when you think you've heard it all.
