Got mine "early" this morning as well. Selling my old 4S to Gazelle for $241 and I paid $199 for the new one. While the IPhone 5's new features did not overwhelm me, the ability to get on Verizon's 4G LTE network was the deciding factor. Excited about the new speed.

I'm pretty sure everybody does. They just don't make the 3s anymore. This update is suppost to change your phone entirely. I'm excited.

The older phones will not get many of the updates. The 4 and below does not get the new maps or turn by turn directions if I'm not mistaken.

Btw I'm less excited about this and more excited bout getting my new phone in 2 days.

Not all of them. I ordered mine about 20 minutes after they went on sale. From what I've read most who ordered after 4 am (1 hour after they went on sale) have been delayed.

 

I just checked my order status and it says "preparing to ship" and "delivers 9/21".
