woodsrider
What about the millions of devices that are made for the current fitting? No way to dock the new I to old dock stations?? Like my Bose speaker?I've read adaptors are already in production. I hope so because I have a butt load of chargers for my 3GS.

RomanEmpire
If the I5 uses PCM, it will be revolutionary. Phase Change Memory could be part of this launch. Will be huge, if so.

RomanEmpire
What is that? See below: This describes PCM in a simple way. Once an application is loaded into PCM, it never needs to be loaded again - even after power has been removed from the underlying memory. The application will always be in the state that it was in when it was last executed. So instead of supplying continuous battery power to the Facebook application, for example, PCM allows the phone to simply power-up the underlying memory once or twice a minute so that it can check for new activity. PCM-enabled phones will sip battery instead of guzzle. This is applicable for the operating system as well. After PCM, "booting up" will be a story that we tell to the grandchildren. DragonFire
If they were shooting for an earth shattering announcement, they missed. Sure, it'll sell extremely well, but that's the brand more than it is the generational leap it appears.
