Lots of fun yesterday.

 

Couldn't be happier with what I saw out of the offense. Great start to the season.

 

Defense leaves something to be desired. Lots of problems all over the place. Cardinal defense was bailed out by a couple of huge fumbles deep in Louisville territory. Gave up nearly 400 yards of offense. Some poor pass coverage at times. Still, ultimately surrendered a mere 14 points. That'll do.

 

Special teams will lose us at least one game this year. Yikes.

I gained alot of respect for Strong yesterday. He could have made it a very bad day for UK and chose not to do it. If he had wanted to we would be seeing " could Highlands beat UK" threads all week.

UK's defense looked terrible.

 

Why did Joker go for a fake punt on 4th and LONG inside what...they're own 30? Stupid move. If you are going to go for it there give it to someone with some athletic ability, not the punter. I'd recommend NOT going for it in that position.

Kentucky's offense wasn't bad and without a few bone head turnovers they would have scored a few more points.

 

Now with that said, it's obvious that if Kentucky had scored more points Louisville would have just decided to score more points as well. Kentucky's O is good, but they're not good enough to make up for their terrible defense this year.

Charlie Strong was very strategic in calling off the dogs. Trust me the last thing he wants is for Joker to get fired and a competent coach to take his place.

 

As for Highlands I say no. Trinity I say yes.

If I were a Louisville fan, I would shoot myself, just kidding. I would be very excited about the direction of the program. I don't believe they are a top 25 yet but they are on the way and with their schedule they will post a nice record.

 

If I were Barnhart I would have fired Joker the second I heard that Strong thinks Joker should get more time. It reminds me of when as a UK fan I wanted Louisville to give Kragthorpe more time.

At that point of the game I had no problem with it. Make or break. The lesser team has to take chances.

At least my nose is down and not up in the air like Lville fans, surprised many Card fans didn't drown from the rain and their noses being stuck up in the air. Arrogant fans.

 

Are UofL fans really that much worse than fans from anywhere else, or do they just bother you because they are your teams rival?

That just proves that Malzhan can call a game....and he scored on their walk ons.

UK may win 2 games, I thought UK looked pretty athletic and I thought UL looked their usual thuggish actions.

 

I can't agree with you on their behavior, didn't really see anything to complain about, although I wish I had so that I would have something to dislike this Cards for.

Should be a pretty good year for the Cards. On the other hand, the season is going to be even longer for UK than I expected.

I thought the comment by Strong, talking about Joker on the hot seat, if we played in the sec they would be saying that about me, was funny.
