Well everybody was picking Danville to win it. Sounded like SK wore Danville down. Looks like SK is tougher than some people think?

Where is all the people that picked Danville to win? I have some crow for you!

I have to admit that I picked Danville in this one. I was wrong & it is a nice win for SK! A buddy of mine went & said SK was the better team and the score should've been worse. Piggy backing what dadof3 said...SK dropped 2 TD passes. Ouch in the film room tomorrow!

Apparently Sampson ran the ball pretty well which is a good sign. Still the lack of points has to be a concern.

 

SK did leave some points on the field with two catches that could and should have been made. Offensively, there is a lot of good news , despite only two scores. Kuntz had time to throw, and generally, was not pressured. The running game was effective.

 

Danville is very athletic and has considerable size. They rotated their lines, so they did not tire. If we had to play Danvile 6 0n 6 , they would win easily. The game came down to who would make more mistakes, and Danville just threw too many picks.

 

I would expect both offenses to get a lot better soon.

2 wide open passes for TD's dropped and the only ones that could stop Sky's offense was themselves. Score should not have been that close. Chase Wilson had a monster game on D with 2 picks when really needed

 

I'll give you that Simon Kenton should have had two more touchdowns but I was listening to this game on my way home from the Somerset game...didn't Danville have two turnovers deep in Simon Kenton territory that could have led to two more scores for them as well?

Always like to see the Pioneers in the win column. I hear they have pretty loyal fans. :clap:

Yes! Danville did not get tired, they were threatning to win the game with about a minute to go. Danville's main problem was offensive play execution. Too many plays where QB and RB's were not on the same page. If Danville gets that fixed, they will improve and be very good come playoff time. AS for, UK#1Fan, where was your 30 point victory? Actually, if you look at the results as a whole, the entire NKY 6A district as a whole looks week. Campbell got crushed by Cov Cath, Dixie got crushed and Ryle got crushed. Boone plays today, so we shall see what happens with them. I'm sure all these teams will get better, but it appears that for right now, SK is ahead of its district competition. Huesman did not play last night and he is SK's best offensive threat.

 

SK left 14 points on the field last night. They will not beat Beechwood scoring 12 points.
