I've been at a softball tournament all weekend and just now getting to enjoy my crow. I have to be honest, I'm surprised by this one. It was hardly the 30-40 point demolition that some were picking, but a win is a win. Great job SK.

 

Danville just really hasn't been Danville for a few seasons now. Hopefully they can get things right soon.

Danville was very athletic and very skilled. This was NOT a cream puff opponent. This was a QUALITY opponent. Thier QB just made more mistakes than ours did. SK had two easy TD passes dropped.

 

BGPers are extropolating this years team from last years SK team. SK lost no one of significance from a pretty weak senoir class last year. They are committed to a passing offense and I believe it is on the threshold of paying big dividends. Maybe not be in time for the BW game though.

I think it illustrates just how critical QB play is. The ability to read coverages and make accurate throws makes all the difference in the world. Kuntz is not there yet, but he is making significant progress. It has taken 12 games of varsity experiance to get this far.

Yes I am a supporter of the Admirals and of course I am biased. I have watched the last four seasons with interest and I sense a difference in this team. I can't really blame you for feeling that way you do and it is up to the Ads to prove otherwise.

 

There was a lot learned in a game that Danville played poorly but still had a chance to win at the end. The effort was there. The execution was not. Overthrown passes, a couple of dropped balls of our own, very young backs getting their first extended game action. It may sound strange to be encouraged through defeat, but there is a lot to look forward to after watching this game. There were no hanging heads after the game, just guys who knew they let one get away. Like to local write-up said "Disappointed, but not discouraged".

Just hope he(QB) can start living up to your expectations. Does starting 9 sophs and a QB who was barely 15 have anything to do with it? Praying the young man goes 24-24 for 350 yds and 7 TD's . Really, really hope none of our starting offensive lineman gets hurt because of the great job there doing and how THIN SK is at that position.

Was very impressed with Danville's team. Athletic and well coached. Don't know much about Boyle Co. but to be up on any Highlands team like that means something. I don't know who is on Danville's side of the 2A bracket but I believe they can get to Bowling Green.

No offense towards Brennan at all! He was put in a very difficult situation last year with no experiance, no pass protection or significant running game. He has had to learn the QB position at the varsity level w/o a lot of support. SK won this game because Brennan made more positive plays and fewer mistakes that the opponents QB. If his recievers had caught a couple more passes that should have bee caught, this could would have been considered his break trough game.

I agree that if his recievers caught a few more passes it would of been a break through game for him. One thing that would help is if Huesman and Swanson were out there catching passes those balls would be caught. I thought during the spring Kuntz and those two (huesman and Swanson) really got on the same page but not having either one of them out there in week 1 hurt Kuntz a little bit in not being able to rely on someone to make a play when he throws them the ball.
