Hung with the beautiful people at the game - Oldbird, Jamie Walz, Mr Walz, Robdiggity's beautiful mother, Stinkyboy, and Kevin Nieporte. Enjoyed the conversation with all.

I do question your intelligence but it was , indeed, an unintentional slight.

I know greatness can be hard to embrace Clyde...

I have no problem embracing my greatness.

I have heard through the NKY grapevine that Highlands has installed a 2 platoon system for the D-Line alone. That was what wore down Boyle Co. supposedly.

They tried it. I will say that. The D was much better in the 2nd half...Obviously. Adjustments on the O and D side of the ball was the difference. Special teams should not be overlooked as well. Hats off to the coaching staff and players for making it work.

He's a friend of Clydes

Just got in from the Fort. Great night all around even though my boys lost the game. Was still definitely worth the trip to hang with Clizzy, RunToState, Mex and Q before the game. Met RCC9, FTBigBird(and got that meat and more meat pizza) and whackemstackem also. Talked to LN, ABC, Rebel4Life and the man that made this all possible...theGuru at the game. I watched the whole game with RunToState and had a great great night. Hopefully I'll meet Birdsfan and hoosierbirdfan at the rematch.

I saw what RCC9 saw. We didn't get gassed until we gave up the lead. Why we just didn't keep pounding it up the middle is what I am wondering but it's done and over and I'm moving on. We looked better than I expected so I am pleased. I do feel like we gave this one away despite the score. The botched kickoff returns and the two turnovers to start the second half sealed our fate. After Hayes 80 yard run we were done. No more energy. I do like what I see from the Rebels knowing we can get better.

I also had a few really good conversations with different Highlands fans throughout the night. Great fans. Great atmosphere. Great place to watch football. I'll be back sometime for sure. I'll have to come to a CovCath game sometime or something. I truly enjoyed myself tonight.

I really like the Cincinnati skyline at night.

Went to this one tonite...DCM is a great place to watch a game. The field is tucked in behind the HS & MS and not a bad seat in the house. Also, even if you stand it's a fantastic view.

HHS wins & this was the tale of 2 halves for sure. The Birds D changed what they were doing up front & whom they were doing it with. IMO that is a big reason BC was no longer running it up the middle. Turnovers also cost the Rebels, but a couple of them were forced.

An earlier post mentioned that these 2 teams will meet in November & I agree. BC has a very good team & made some fixable mistakes. Nice showing on the road & at Highlands no less. Impressive!

Hayes & Harris are a deadly combo of speed (Hayes) and a bruising back (Harris)...

Birds put up 52. That is strong, especially since the O was not really clicking in the 1st

half. As always, return teams are a strength for Highlands.

First of all congrats to Highlands the earned the win with a great second half. It's amazing what adrenaline can do for you. Boyle has too many guys going both ways and yet nobody is gassed when they are winning. Having two score lead on the number one team in 4A and there is no fatigue. But after a couple turnovers (one of the wishbone guys went the wrong direction deep in own territory) (qb being pulled from behind got to tuck the ball away) all of a sudden the depth becomes a huge factor. The body quickly stops producing so much adrenaline because of change of momentum. Kudos for the Highland coaching staff with the no-huddle and subbing 4 and 5 players almost every play in second half. Really hammered boyle weaknesses like they should. Congrats again to the birds and I hope we get to see you again in November.

Depth was definitely the difference in this game.

I, for one, am kinda impressed that Boyle was able to come to Fort Thomas and put up 31 on Highlands. I know I wasn't at the game...but I didn't honestly expect Highlands to give up that many points.

Credit Boyle Co for putting up the points, they executed extremely well running the wishbone in the first half. QB did a great job sticking the ball into the fullback's belly then pulling out at the last minute.

Like Rebel said, they were feeding off high adrenaline and smelling the blood. Once that went away after a couple mistakes the roles reversed.

Shoutout to soph #42 for the Birds, DJ Mills. That kid made some key plays on the DL.

But also the last 7 points were boyle counties varsity vs the highlands JV , it was a shutout in the 2nd half until the last minute
