Being homosexual, no. The act itself, yes. I believe that all sex outside of marriage is sinful, I don't believe that marriage between same sex couples is valid and never will regardless of what may be legislated therefore all homosexual acts are outside of marriage and all homosexual acts are sinful.

Being homosexual, no. The act itself, yes. .

So if I think in my mind all of the things I'd like to do to your wife that's not a sin as long as I don't act on it?

It is two different questions posed: 1. Is homosexuality a sin? and 2. Should gays be allowed to marry?

The two are mutually exclusive. Not all things that the Bible teaches is sinful is or should be illegal. Lying is a sin, but it is not illegal in and of itself.

I believe homosexuality is a sin based on the New Testament teachings. I have mixed feelings on same sex marriage. My religious view and my political view are two separate things.

I am not sexist, chauvenistic, judgemental or xenophobic. I don't hate anyone, and I try to show love to everybody. There is not a place in the flowchart for me because it paints with too broad a brush and IMO is created with judgemental and hateful undertones that it tries to portray Christians with.

My religious view and my political view are two separate things.

.

My church tells me they cannot be separated. I also believe you're in the minority for those who share your level of faith (and that's a compliment).

It is not easily separated and I don't know that we can or even should completely separate them. My religious views shape who I am, how I think, but I can't base all social or political decisions or views completely on my religious beliefs.

Homosexuality is a hot button issue and many "evangelicals" jump on it and form a rallying cry around it. I am not sure why, but I think a lot of it is fear. Admittedly, I am conflicted on the issue and if it came to a vote, I honestly am not sure how I would cast.

Personally I think we have a whole lot more pressing problems to deal with than this.

Yes. And the chart distorts and opines (incorrectly) what Paul says in the new testament and even some of the old testament. It's still a sin.

But it's a cute little flow chart.

So, God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve so that the Earth could be populated? And now that it is, homosexuality is cool with God? We live in a time of no fear of God.

So if I think in my mind all of the things I'd like to do to your wife that's not a sin as long as I don't act on it?

Large difference between thinking and doing.

Incorrect. That's clearly breaking one of the Ten Commandments.

Is there? I seem to remember being told that a lustful thought was a sin.

To be clear, you are saying my lustful thoughts , even if not acted upon, is a sin?

I don't hear any crickets.
