July 31, 201214 yr Chances he doesn't win MVP? 78 runs (in only 80 games) .351 avg 31 SB 17 HR 53 RBI 1.008 OPS MVP?
July 31, 201214 yr Miguel Cabrera has to be in the discussion, I think. Cespedes from Oakland is coming on strong as well. Right now, though, I give it to Trout.
July 31, 201214 yr ROY has been wrapped up. MVP, there is still a lot of season left for that one to be decided.
July 31, 201214 yr Trout and Cano are the top two candidates ... if Trout maintains this level of performance, he warrants it even though he missed a handful of games at the start of the season.
August 1, 201214 yr Depending on what happens in Oakland, I think you might see Cespedes as the MVP..No way ... he hasn't played in 32 games, which is 20 percent of the season. He's had a nice year and is a surprise, but he doesn't match what Trout and Cano have done.
August 1, 201214 yr No way ... he hasn't played in 32 games, which is 20 percent of the season. He's had a nice year and is a surprise, but he doesn't match what Trout and Cano have done. That is false actually. He has played in 72 games this year and has 14 HR's, 54 RBI's...his stats aren't as good as either Cano's or Trout's but he has had a big impact on his team. This is a Most valuable player award, not a player of the year award and if the A's make the playoff, you can make a case for him.

August 1, 201214 yr So if they've played 104 games that means he's missed 32 games. Ohh...I feel really dumb now...
August 2, 201214 yr Ohh...I feel really dumb now... I hate when I screw up like that. Happens all the time. But I really get a kick out of seeing someone else do it  Just messing with you obviously.
August 2, 201214 yr If anyone other than Trout or Cabrera win it the award has simply lost all credibility. Trout has to be the landslide favorite at this point.
August 7, 201214 yr Author When Trout gets two strikes on him he has an OBP of .354 which is second in MLB to Votto at .390 .
August 7, 201214 yr According to Jayson Starks this morning on Mike and Mike, before Trout joined the Angels they had the worst record in the AL. Since joining they have the best record in baseball.
