Penn St. players are fair game, right?

Yep, they are...but how would Kiffin felt if someone had blatantly tried to recruit his QB away when SC went on probation.

We can't have it both ways. Either we it's fair for the players to transfer when school goes on probation or it isn't. These kids can't transfer if they aren't recruited.

If Joker doesn't have somebody up there...well that would be unacceptable in my book. At least try.

I agree with you. I guess I didn't expect coaches to set up shop at a local hotel or diner in Happy Valley to openly recruit the players. All of these players have been through the recruiting process, so I assumed the players would be the ones to reach out to the prospective schools, not the other way around.

I have been hoping UC or UK gets a few players.

Just listening to Kiffen makes me feel dirty.

THere are three, four, and five star guys all over that roster. Some of them have yet to crack the starting lineup. Presented with the opportunity to start at an SEC school some may jump. You find one starter on each side of the ball, your better and deeper than you were before camp.

If it' s me I sign every lineman I can get my hands on off of that campus.

Illinois said today that some PSU players called them over the weekend.

This reminds me of how coaches were after the players @ SMU years ago.

Doesn't the players have to contact the schools first?

Isn't it a violation for them to contact players first?

There are no tampering rules connected to Penn State players as part of the ruling. They are all fair game to be openly recruited by anyone...

As if they were high school players again, correct?
