June 29, 201214 yr I am a Hornets fan after the Lakers and Cavs. I'll be ordering the League Pass. I am not a UK fan.* *I do like Cal and I am impressed with what is doing. I don't hate UK like I once did. Add me to that list as well.
June 29, 201214 yr Miller being a Kentucky boy is one of the factors, and I've just been impressed with Davis, and the way he carries himself since day 1. Plus adding the Rivers kid, I just think it will be a young, and exciting team to follow. I like what they did but be prepared for growing pains.

They had a 3 point shooting contest with objects other than a basketball. It was a great segment. http://www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com/video/3point-shootout-with-anthony-davis-62512/1407729
June 29, 201214 yr Author I like what they did but be prepared for growing pains. No doubt about that.
June 29, 201214 yr Following their UK players. I see nothing wrong with that. I don't have a favorite NBA team. I pretty much just follow how the UK players are doing. I haven't had a favorite NBA team since Jordan left the Bulls in 98. I have a few teams I lean towards like Boston, but I mostly just cheer for UK players, as well as a few other random players mixed in.
June 29, 201214 yr I like what they did but be prepared for growing pains. Be interesting to see if they have a lottery pick again next year. Then it could get real excited down in NO with all that young talent.

I don't hate UK like I once did. Was thinking, I wonder how much the NBA fan base in the US/our region has grown with UK doing well and sending all of these players to the league over the past few years. We all know the fan base is pretty large and I've heard from a lot of people like many in this thread that they're now starting to follow former Wildcats in the NBA. I bet the NBA owners love what Cal is doing at UK.

June 29, 201214 yr I will be cheering for New Orleans now as well. Told my wife that last night, the addition of Miller was just icing on the cake. I really wish Davis would have been paired with Wall but that didn't happen, so I guess I'll cheer for the Wiz as well, once the get rid of Blatche I'll be even happier about it.
June 29, 201214 yr I can't believe you just typed that. Why? That's who they both remind me of. I'm not branding either player to be heir apparents to KG and Kobe or even as good as either one but I could see both having NBA careers similar to those two superstars. Especially with the way Rivers is hated and lauded as a ballhog. I think Davis and Rivers will be very productive NBA players.
June 29, 201214 yr I'll be cheering for Davis, but not New Orleans. Never liked anything in that town. Don't like the Aints. Think they're idiots for not building a levee when they had the $. Anything under French order not high on my list. And I'll ridicule LRCW when he wears the tshirt. That I'll enjoy!
June 29, 201214 yr I do root for Denver because of Morehead State'r Kenneth Faried. Always like the Grizz because of OJ. I'll root for the Heat if they get Ray.
June 29, 201214 yr The Hornets were my team till they left Charlotte...then I gave up on the NBA. I guess it's time to mend the relationship...I'm getting back together with the Hornets
