I wouldn't have typed it if it wasn't true. I'm telling you, that thing was thick and loaded. We were 2 slices from finishing it and I was out of gas. I can tell you with certainty, if they are anything like they used to be, you can't eat a large by your lonesome.

June 25, 201214 yr Man, I've lived in Louisville for four years and still haven't had it. Sad thing is, me and my roommate were deciding where we wanted to get pizza this past Saturday and decided on Boombozz. The beer was much better than the pizza, and I felt like it was way over priced for the amount of food you get. We definetely should have traveled the extra two blocks to Impellizzeri's.

This is a pretty clear #1 for me. Love the creative TOTD offerings too. 2a. Coals - get the Iroquois. Best buffalo chicken pizza I've ever had. Hands down. 2b. Boombozz Taphouse - this and Coals I like more for their non-traditional pizzas but everything I've had was good. My current favorite is the Carnitas Libre. The tap list is quite creative too. 3. Impellizzeri's - rockmom's favorite. That alone should tell of the quality. 4. Come Back Inn - when I moved over beside it a friend gave me a tip to try the pizza. Great stuff, but it's known WAY more for it's pasta. 5. Bonnie & Clyde's - WAY down in Shively but worth the trip. Cheap beer too. Sidenote: Luigi's downtown was really good. But I've only had it once as I don't typically make it that way. Didn't feel right ranking it on only one visit but it would probably be pretty high. Edited June 25, 201214 yr by formerkywrestler

Awwww, man...I was assuming you were talking about their deep dish. It's SOOOOO worth the half-hour wait. If you like the regular style pizza, then you'd LOVE the deep dish. Impellizzeri's is among my favorite pizza places - period.
