June 28, 201214 yr I'm not saying he is if thats what you think I'm trying to say. I'm just saying what the poster said was in contradiction to what plantman said and I think I would bring it up as it appears to be a small disagreement about Zeke's time at Auburn thus far. My point is we need to be careful.
June 28, 201214 yr Listening to a podcast from an Auburn blogger. He says he had low expectations for Zeke because he "played against a bunch of little white guys."

Maybe Auburn podcaster's high school team will be able schedule a game against Highlands. I'm sure they would find Dale Cecil Memorial to be a most hospitable place to play. :irked:
June 28, 201214 yr Sounds okay with me then if that is true. The whole point of the post was to challenge what Cherry Picker said because what you had said was in direct contradiction. Wasn't trying to say either one was right but was trying to bring up there was an obvious disagreement in terms of how Zeke was doing academically at Auburn... FWIW, I know many football athletes at Kentucky would occasionally grace us with their presence once in awhile. The most recent Mike Hartline was one of them. As long as you keep your grades up, I don't think its a big deal if you don't show up for class unless attendance is required for some reason. Am I missing something? I thought people went to college to attend classes and graduate with a degree. How can you not show up for class AND keep your grades up?
June 28, 201214 yr I just watched Zeke on Trent Dilfer's ESPNU Elite 11 show. It was great to see a local player do so well. I sure hope he can pull things together. It is too soon to cast a final vote, but it sure looks like Kentucky got the best of the QB's from our area. Ya think???????
June 28, 201214 yr Am I missing something? I thought people went to college to attend classes and graduate with a degree. How can you not show up for class AND keep your grades up? It depends on how the class is set up. Some teachers have all their test material on the slides and are posted before class so a kid could just stay at his apartment/dorm and study and do well in the class on his own. However there are many teachers that try and make sure everyone attends class by making sure that they leave some test material out of the slides and you have to show up in order to get it. Others will give unannounced quizzes so you must be in attendance to be able to take it and get credit. It all depends on the how class is set up to see what the attendance is like. As long as the kids are doing well in class I'm okay. If kids are skipping classes and barely getting by, I have a HUGE problem with it especially if their an athlete.
June 28, 201214 yr Ya think??????? Yes. Yes I do. It isn't like Pike is a piker. He made the ESPN Elite 11, Athlon has him as the 3rd rated qb in the 2012 class. Foxsports has Zeke at 16. Offering the opinion that Patrick Towles will turn out to be the better college qb is not like predicting that Anthony Davis will be selected higher in tonight's NBA draft than Eloy Vargas. Zeke has a tremendous upside. I hope both kids excell and look forward to seeing them go head to head.

June 28, 201214 yr You really think Davis will go before Vargas? Yes, unless the Hornets allow Mike Brown or Katie Brown Blackburn to make their selection.
June 28, 201214 yr Yes, unless the Hornets allow Mike Brown or Katie Brown Blackburn to make their selection. That brought quite a chuckle. Well done. Although I do think the Bengals have drafted well recently.
June 29, 201214 yr Listening to a podcast from an Auburn blogger. He says he had low expectations for Zeke because he "played against a bunch of little white guys." Considering Zeke played for a 6A school, I wonder how low the expectations and how loud the laughter would be if he learned he had actually played for a 1A school??????
July 3, 201214 yr Considering Zeke played for a 6A school, I wonder how low the expectations and how loud the laughter would be if he learned he had actually played for a 1A school?????? Depends on who the 1A school was. I know of one 1A school that beat the living tar out of Zeke and his Dixie mates last year. It still makes me wonder how much farther that certain 1A team would have gone with Zeke under center, like him or not.
July 13, 201214 yr From everything I hear and read this youngman is a "punk" and in serious need of an attitude adjustment. Hopefully that will come soon before he blows any further opportunities that may be coming his way..Wake up youngman! Do you know many kids would give anything to be in your shoes and have the opportunities that you have had.
