I enjoy greatness and rooting for it. LeBron by his own admission brought on a lot of the hate. "The Decision" was the PR equivalent of Chernobyl. Winning can cure all though.

 

A good point was brought up last night. While "The Decision" was a dumb move, it may have been a blessing in disguise for James. It humbled him and put his failures of last season on the greatest stage. He was not going to experience that feeling again.

 

I do question the staying power of the potential Heat dynasty. Good thing for them, who in the East do you really see challenging them? Chicago? Really. Indiana? I would not trade anyone of the big 3 for any of the Pacer players. Knicks? Posers.

 

We were talking about that last night. Unless a Chicago, Boston or New York loads up they will at least be in the finals the next few years. Next year maybe playing the Thunder again.

It is also his 3rd trip to the finals and includes taking a very average at best Cleveland team. Did Skip make a valid point here and there? Sure. Would be hard not to given that he spends about 5 hours a week talking about him.

All the haters are extra mad because there was no doubt he is far better than Wade. If they would have won it last year when Wade tried willing them to the title because LBJ basically no showed it would have been worse for him. Last years disappearing act isn't lost, but he made up for it in a big way when Wade turned it over to him and let him lead the way. Not even close. Magic was the closest thing but on talent he is nowhere close to it.

Add number of playoff games, Olympic games, etc. and you're on to something. Which is why, IMHO, Kobe is such an outlier. No telling how many "full-season equivalents" he's played at the highest level.

Other way around. The article convinced me. There has not been a whole lot of research since coming out early from high school or from college is relatively new.

I am recording it and will watch this evening. My guess is he will give him props via backhanded slaps the whole time. He did pick the Heat preseason. Though Skip is about the only person that has nailed LeBron, his game, and his psyche from the onset. From the start of his career people have wanted to anoint James as one of the greatest ever and Skip stood strong in that he never bought in to it. While it may be laugh now day against Skip and his black helicopter world, the fact it took James as long as it did says something about his feelings towards James.

 

No doubt. With the maturity and self analyzing Lebron did in this past year after being humbled and then saying as much in his post game interview last night I hope Skip can display the same maturity and acknowledge that Lebron is finally becoming the player and the man that was expected from him from day one.

If it's put out there as he was actually "cut" from the team, then that's a myth. But quite frankly JV to me is not "making the team". The team is always synonymous with the varsity team.
