June 18, 201214 yr I've also been to AutoZone Park, where the Memphis Redbirds play, the AAA-team for the Cardianls. I thought it was a very nice stadium, carved out right in downtown.

June 18, 201214 yr 1. Camden Yards (Baltimore) – too young to remember but I include it in my list of ballparks I’ve visited. 2. Olympic Stadium (Montreal) 3. Fenway Park (Boston) – Saw Boston v. Cleveland in the late 90’s. 4. Joe Robbie Field at Pro Player Stadium (Florida) – Got to see Curt Schilling pitch 5. Cinergy Field a. Riverfront Stadium b. Great American Ballpark 6. Wrigley Field numerous times (it’s a dump) – I’ve seen the Reds there a few times 7. Candlestick Park (San Francisco) – Don’t recall the game 8. Miller Park (Milwaukee) – Reds v. Brewers 9. Bank One Ballpark (Arizona) – D’Backs v. Astros 10. Safeco Field (Seattle) – Saw Griffey’s homecoming when he was with the Reds 11. Tropicana Field (Tampa Bay) 12. Tiger Stadium (Detroit) – Got to see Cards v. Tigers World Series rematch (around 2009). Also got to meet Tigers GM Dave Dombrowski & he personally escorted us down to the field after getting to chat with him for about 15 minutes in his office. 13. The Jake (Cleveland) – Don’t remember the teams but there was a really attractive lady about 4 seats over and 2 rows back. For as many stadiums as I have been to, it’s strange that I haven’t hit many of the local stadiums: St. Louis, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, etc. I plan to do so fairly soon. I’ve also been to a few minor league games: The Myrtle Beach Pelicans, the Florence Freedom, the Lexington Legends (Applebee’s Park), the Louisville Riverbats, and a few spring training games in Ft. Myers, FL.

June 19, 201214 yr The worst was Toronto - no atmosphere although I did see then-Mariner ARod hit 3 bombs that day. I saw Toronto/Minnesota in the SkyDome in 1993, the year following the first title for the Blue Jays. Place was sold out and absolutely hopping - just a great atmosphere. Seeing it now, with tiny crowds in such a stale environment, I almost can't believe it is the same place. Side note: The afternoon of that game, I passed Kirby Puckett on the street outside the stadium. Said hello and he said the same. I was 11 years old - and might have been taller than Kirby right then!

I remember getting to miss the first day of fifth grade to go with dad to Tiger Stadium. Sat in the outfield behind a very young Ken Griffey, Jr. (who went 4-for-6 in the game) and the Tigers won. I went back again in 1997 and caught my only foul ball. I was sitting down the third base line, Willie Blair (from Paintsville) was pitching for the Tigers and Chris Snopek (from Harrison County) hit a liner into the stand that I (from Lancaster) caught. Pretty cool day.

Pretty cool day. Very cool. It is really sad that they just abandoned the old park. You can walk around on the grounds now but the centerfield flag pole is all that remains. The infield is still marked but it is maintained by fans. The original dirt was buried in the demolition.
