Just wondering if this would have meant Highlands would have had to drop the Boyle game? I don't think it would've made sense if that were the case. The Boyle game gives Highlands a down state barometer to measure teams for the playoffs. NCC would just be a bragging rights game.

I agree no it was the Scott Co. game.

While I would love to see the NCC game played Scott Co will do more to get the team where it wants to be in December.

The fans will probably be happy to see such an evenly matched game here and certainly get their moneys worth imo. :thumb:

I would love to see NCC/Highlands but I am not so sure it would be close for long. NCC has lost a lot of talent and the Birds are absolutely loaded once again.

The only reason to see NCC and HHS play is for the old HHS fans who want to look down on NCC. Not all HHS fans but several. For NC is makes no point to play a team 9 out of 10 years you cant compete with. For HHS whats the point of putting 70 up on another NKY team? That doesnt help make the Birds and better for the playoffs. If HHS wants to be a national ranked team that Dale loves to talk about they need to play as many GCL schools as possible and the best large schools in the state of KY.

Does anyone know anything about the incoming freshman team? They seem really deep at the skilled positions but thin on the o-line.

I am excited to see the frosh team play NCC. It was a good rivalry back in the day. They will be baptized by fire at Trinity in the first game.

The only possible benefit to Highlands beating NCC big is to attract those few Ft. Thomas kids on the fence who love football and aren't sure if they want to go to Highlands or NCC. Big wins by Highlands might influence those kids to attend Highlands.

 

But for the record, I'm not in favor of playing NCC. Restating your thoughts: bigger fish to fry.
