Why would anyone vote for Romney I will never know... the guy walks around flip-flopping - one day he's for the next day he's against ... the conservatives are really going to hate this guy if he's ever elected I guarantee he will flip-flop on a few issues this summer. He can't relate to the poor or the middle class. He has multiple tax shelters overseas? (And he wants to run the USA?) His wife walks around bragging about her $1,000 shirt. What?? He already said he doesn't care about the poor? He's more worried about the 1%. Please name me a President who can relate to the poor and isnt rich themselves with tax shelters everywhere too.

Well...Clinton had been a very successful attorney, a state attorney general, a spent the majority of 12 years a a state Governor over two terms. Carter had been a very successful farmer, spent 4 years as a state senator, and 4 years as a state Governor. Nixon spent 4 years as a US Congressman, 2 years as a US Senator, and served as Vice President for 8 years under Eisenhower. I don't think any of them were too hard up for money previous to becoming President.

Affordable Care Act Saved GM Killed OBL Ended Iraq occupation Ending Afghanistan occupation Social Issues (ended DODT and not defending DOMA) Court appointments (1st term & possible replacements) Environmental issues (Blocked the useless pipeline) Tax Policy (Buffet Bill needs to be passed) He's not perfect but he's a heck of a lot better than the other guy. What I find so funny about political threads....Other than the 3 foreign policy issues you listed, I consider everything you listed as his biggest blunders. :lol: Crazy how two people can view the same things so drastically differently.

TaxProf Blog: Obama Releases 2007 Tax Return according to New York Times, Romney has $250 million in assets, $100 million in trust funds for their five sons ... I guess we'll have to wait for the Summer when he release his finance information (assuming he does) ... of course he's not obligated to disclose how much he has hidden in his multiple tax shelters overseas (The Washington Post) Don't get me wrong - there's nothing wrong with making money. I love money. I work my but off and I do wish my taxes go down. (I pay waaay too much - $8,000 just for my house. I don't even want to get into my finances.) At this point it doesn't matter who wins the election - taxes will go down. The people have spoken and they are loud.

Still wouldn't have called them wealthy (billionaire or millionaire status) and when you look at their roots I'm not sure they were "born" into privilige. Thanks for the info Colonel.

May 4, 201214 yr I've always felt the "he can't identify with the average Joe" argument to be sorely overrated. Could Kennedy identify with the common man? Reagan? I couldn't care less if a Presidential candidate can identify with me or any other person. I just want to know if you can successfully lead us.
