Kid taxi service confirmation runs us about half a dozen texts a day.

That number goes way up during basketball season when we are at different kids' games, texting game updates.

I like to call that a down week...

That's where I thought it was headed until I got into the thread.

 

One call a day unless something serious with the kids is going on. No texts, ever. I can call much quicker than I can text. My wife feels the same way.

 

Thank you very much. If my wife texted me 5 times in one day, we would have to sit down and talk to set some rules. If I were single, I would probably stay that way in today's world because any girl that sent me more than 5 texts in one day, my text back to her would be best wishes. If you have something to say, call me. Texting has it's uses at times but for the most part it is just annoying.

I've got 183 texts (sent & received) since 3/21.

I generally call my wife once a day while at work and we text 2-3 times. Nothing wrong with checking in and telling your wife you are thinking about them. Seems to help out in other areas of the marriage by doing little things like that. :banana:

I talk to my wife on the phone way more than I text her....hey, 25 years of marriage and I still love the sound of her voice.

My fingers are too fat and my brain too slow for me to text efficiently although I don't mind reading them, just not from my wife. I like to talk to her.

 

As an aside, I'm really hating the carryover of texting shortcuts into emails and other places. I'm ok with the occasional "LMAO" or things like that but for some reason the "ru4" instead of "are you for" and similar shortcuts bug me in emails or blogs but not in texts. That's why I like the BGP rules, and the icons.
