The news that Bobby P texted his gal pal 4300 times in a matter of months plus 300 calls got me thinking.

 

Who talks/texts with their significant other that much?

 

No one has a better marriage than me. It is an odd day if I talk to my wife more than twice a day on the phone.

 

I assume I am in the majority, right?

I am like you. We hate talking on the phone and we text somewhat, but not a lot.

Most of the time I don't ever talk to my wife on the phone during the day. We will send some text messages through the day typically but that's it. We don't ever come close to 4300 text messages in a month, more like 800-1000.

No more than 2 times a day, maybe 1-3 text.

Don't really have a significant other, but I guess you could say I'm working on one. I'm not sure I'd want to know how many text messages have been sent in the last two weeks.

3 or 4 texts a day. Rarely a phone conversation.

I don't have a SO but I have girls I go on dates with and hang out with. I'm with you...we often send a TON of messsages back and forth.

Pretty similar with the girlfriend....Never talk on the phone during the day, probably closer to 1500 text messages in a month.

I think it depends on the newness of the relationship and the age of the significant other. When I was dating again after my divorce I dated a college student and she would text me constantly. Once I began dating my current girlfriend who is my age, in the beginning we would text maybe 25 times a day with a few calls and now a couple of years in it's a couple texts a day.

MY SO and I both have desk jobs, so we trade a dozen or so emails a day when we are working and maybe 1 call after she gets off work asking about dinner plans or ball game schedules, etc.

I average about 8000 text a month. id say 2/3 of that is to the girlfriend. She lives in an area that has very crappy cell phone service to call her, but she can text, and does, all day long, all night long, lol. I do alot of texting with work as well though.

Married nearly 9 years, only text or call when something important is going on.

I definitely send a ton more texts to other people than my girlfriend. I hate meaningless texting. It turns into a task rather than friendly conversation after a while.
