Mustang
The Brossart Mustangs traveled to Berea, and as expected, dealt the Berea Pirates their 43rd consecutive loss, concluding the BB-Berea series with the Mustangs taking all four of these contests over the past four years. Berea is being realigned out of Class 1A, District 5 next season. The Mustangs were without the services of Senior Quarterback Tyler MacDonald who sustained a shoulder injury a week ago vs Paris. Sophomore Trevor Schadler gained some valuable experience in T-Mac's absence. Mustang senior Mason Dennis scored three touchdowns and Sam Howard two, including a Pick 6. Schadler found Junior Brady Kramer for two long passing touchdowns, BUT only one of them counted as Brossart led 13-0, 13-6, 20-6 at the half, then 27-6, 33-6, 40-6, 47-6, and then 47-12. Junior Jacob Kohls scored his first high school career touchdown. Freshman big man David Govan showed that he is multi-talented connecting on 5 of 7 PAT attempts. The Mustangs improved to 5-4 on the season and will host Pendleton County for our Senior Night next Friday night at Bob Miller Stadium.
