Three Big Games on Tuesday Night

#18 Montgomery County @ #5 Madison Central

This will be the final home tuneup for the Madison Central Indians before their Saturday matchup with the top team in the state. These two tribes met once already this season, as Madison Central defeated Montgomery County 67-57 back in December. If Madison Central remains focused, then they should roll on and extend Montgomery County’s recent woes.

#24 Ohio County @ Muhlenberg County

Way back in the beginning times of this basketball season, Muhlenberg County traveled to Ohio County and lost by two points. Since then, the preseason favorite Mustangs have dropped several games but have won five straight. Meanwhile, the Eagles have won all their games save two at Mercer County’s holiday tournament. The winner is the favorite for the 3rd region crown…simple as that.

#9 Perry County Central @ Sheldon Clark

The 15th region has not been able to prove itself that many times on a statewide level this season, but does Sheldon Clark have an opportunity to do so on Tuesday night. The Cardinals have lost to Johnson Central twice and over the weekend against Buckhorn, but they do have the 15th region’s best record as they entertain Perry County Central. The Commodores haven’t lost to a Kentucky team since going down to Scott County before Christmas.

John Hardin @ Elizabethtown

Seems like the Bulldogs and Panthers have been extremely quiet this season. We’ll see if one can make a run to challenge Bardstown in the 5th region.

Christian County @ Bowling Green

Been a disappointing season for the defending state champions. A win at 4th region contender Bowling Green would be a nice surprise.

Ohio Co caught my eye during the Mercer Co tourney. Been keeping up with them since then. Of course keeping up on the outcome of the Madison Central/Montgomery Co game.
