  1. Farris from Boone would most definitely get might vote, even though he has a great line to run behind. A close second would be either Alan Williams from Marshall County or John Cole from Somerset.
  2. The ball was not tipped and the flag was way down before the ball was intercepted. The questionable call was from the line judge on Meade County sideline. Which him and the back judge were awful all night. The passing interference on 3 and long, they was no contact period, blown call. But as for last night the better team was Meade and they played the best they could, and Owensboro just came out flat. If played again I don't think it would be the same results. But a thumbs up to Meade players and coaching staff they were ready!
  3. To say Meade is better then Owensboro definitely is not the thing to say. I attended this game and it was awful to see what the fans and players have to go through, everybody and their grandma who doesn't know a lick about football, knows Owensboro runs on first and second down, and passes on third. The Owensboro defense was put in too many bad situations in this one. Hopefully they can bounce back and beat Hopkinsville. They better find some offense or they are going to be in a world of hurt.

  5. I knew the Farris kid would have a big game, he can flat out play and he has a good line to run behind. He has to be one of the frontrunners for Mr. Football.

  7. If Owensboro comes ready to play I don't see Meade pulling off the upset, but that is why games are played on the field and not paper. Owensboro 27 Meade 10
  8. Boone wins hands down, Farris goes for 180 and 3 scores, he is that good!
  9. Highlands keeps plugging away, it looks like it will be an undefeated showdown for the 5A state championship so far.
  10. They are for real, some just don't realize the schedule they have played and how they have lost some of their games. Look out!!!
  11. 1A Beechwood v. Mayfield (this would be a very history filled game) 2A Danville v. Owensboro Catholic (this would be pass v. run, and be very high scoring) 3A Belfry v. Russel (a very hard hitting and physical game, the way it's suppose to be played) 4A Boyle v. Warren East (would be a new tradition v. old tradition) 5A Highlands v. Owensboro (rematch of the 1999&2000 3A state championships, and would like to see my devils get another shot at them) 6A St. X v. Trinity (THE BEST RIVALRY IN KENTUCKY: see if Beatty can make the adjustments to win I think their 17th or 18th state championship)

  13. Outside of one game, Owensboro's defense is in the top 3 if not the best. They had one game where they gave up 22 and that was with out one of their all state linebackers Neil Johnston and a starting corner. But besides that they have not giving up more than 6 points in one game.

  15. Douglas #25 is their fourth running back, that just goes to show how good this team really is and how deep they are! And he is just a sophomore. Good game Devils wish I could have been there.
  16. Now that IS funny! That guy has been doing that for 4 years and it may just be his dad. I'll bet the farm on it, and I'm not a betting man. Oh and btw, I hope you're right about the offense. It's just hard to chew on that when you've been hearing about stuff like this for 5 years.
  17. That's funny because he don't run the defense at Owensboro. Coach Delacey does. And let me say this: the defense is one of the best in state, led by linebackers Neil Johnston and Blake Roberts with a whole lot of help. Now, with that said, he does run the offense. Sounds like his offense today is like his defense was at Eastern.
  18. Make no mistake about it. Joe Prince is looking for revenge for losing against them when he coached at Eastern, but it ain't going to happen. I hate to say it, but Owensboro goes down here. 20-6. No offense, and it ain't got nothing to do with Shemwell!!!!!
  19. No, I actually can see for myself that Joe Prince is not much of an offense coach. We've been waiting for 5 years. I just wanted some feedback from other people. It's obvious that Owensboro's defense for the past 3 years has kept them in the heat of battle and it is true; Owensboro has a lot of athelets on that football team. Of course, I don't know Joe Prince, I just thought that maybe someone else had the answers.
  20. Orca1, since you was at the Boone County, Eastern game in 2002, what can you tell me about Joe Prince offense than? I mean, was it good, bad, what?
