Boohoo someone from Northern Kentucky didn't get something.....waaaa Highlands didn't get what they want. You do realize that other people play football right? You realize that most if Eastern, Southern and far Western Kentucky don't have a vote in the AP pole. How you feel right now is how we feel every year with the AP.

Anyone that has ever had to go to Log Mountain, Louisville Central, Highlands, etc in the playoffs know that there is an advantage to being at home for the playoffs. That makes the regular season important.

What's your basis for these comments?

2012 KY Football Stats for Wayne County Nov 9, '12 Match with Central 133 Total Rushing Yards 143 Total Rushing Yards Allowed 212 Total Passing Yards 151 Total Passing Yards Allowed Well seeing how Wayne outgained Central, knocked their qb out of the game, and had 4-6 sacks I'm guessing is how they stayed in it. The qb had 50 or so yards of Central's rushing yards on one play. Central made big plays against Wayne is how they beat them. Which is how they beat everyone. Look I'm not saying that you can't play with them and all that but anyone who gets on here and says that your going to score a bunch of points on them, out physical them is crazy. But you never know. That is why they play the game. Central might turn it over 3 or 4 times and you can beat them. Destroyed the Cardinals up front....thats rich. I never have said one thing bad against Monroe, just it's fans don't understand what your up against. I actually love Monroe.

I'm glad you guys are on the schedule also. I really am a big fan of Monroe other than when they play us. I love Coach Pettite's style.

Well while Wilson is a nice player this game will be won up front. Central is as good up front as Wayne on defense.

Seeing how Wayne pretty much handled you early in the preseason, sacked and hit Wilson, over and over again, and how Central just stuffed one of the great power run teams in Bell I'd say picking Monroe to win by more than a point in a close game is stretching it.

I don't think you understand what your getting yourself into.

Then why sit there and say "Well they havent seen a player like_____" when its not even your player.

How did that turn out for you?

Being from Wayne County we have played both teams and it will be an uphill climb for Monroe. Chad Wilson and Polly from Bell County are very similar. He will have some success but if you cannot loosen Central from the box you have little chance of running the ball. Wayne had the better team to beat Central because they can both throw and run the ball. One dimensonal teams have a hard time with Central because its not that they are fast, but they are extremely fast and physical in the box on defense. Wayne was more physical than them but made mistakes in crunch time. You cannot make mistakes. One man will not beat Central.

Wow....shocker on the invincible, almighty, log mountain. Central's starting QB never played a snap and Bell couldn't run over the Central defense. This was actually closer than I thought it would be.

I'd say i understand football/ just fine. In sports sometimes the better team doesn't always win. Much how you feel about the Bell-Central game last year, I feel about the Wayne-Bell game this year. Its ok though. You will find out soon enough.

You watch the game? Wayne gave the game away before it even started. Wayne had more yards, more trips to the redzone and played with their qb at about 60%. Who else had held Bell under 150 yards total offense for the game?

A little birdy told me that Wayne County was better than Bell County anyways.....all these people that are saying that this will be a high scoring game are nuts.

I can say this with confidence....If Bell County cannot throw the ball consistantly on Central then they will lose. My prediction 14-6 Central.

No school should ever QUIT FOOTBALL. More life lessons are learned in football and being apart of a team than any other sport.

The people here that say that a 3 or 4 seed should not go to the playoffs likely are not part of a program that has struggled. It's always someone from a school that always makes the playoffs that says " Only take the top 2 schools." If you did that you would have teams that NEVER EVER make the playoffs, numbers would drop, programs would drop out of playing. Trust me all you people out there that think that only 2 teams from each district probably never had to look at that kid who has played his last game and would probably give anything to play one more. Those are the same people that probably have never coached a kid that gave everything he had but wasn't good enough to beat someone out for a playing spot on a team. What should a coach do for those players? Tell them to quit, go home? Or should he keep that kid around try to change his life. People, football isn't all about winning and losing. Look at the big picture. It was a Friday night where kids were in a safe environment doing more than most of the other kids in their school. What's the harm in that. Kids get better at football by playing football. It's not about money, or a trophy or who gets into the game alot of time. The worst thing in life you can do is quit. Phelps did not quit. As a person who has ties to Phelps, since you all that say they shouldn't have played know so much why don't you go and help them. Move your kid there and see if you can overcome some of the things they have to sometimes. Maybe then you would feel differently.

I guess they should go play Trinity, Saint X and Highlands then. Programs are built through wins, hard work and playing competition that is in your league at that particular time. Don't worry they will get plenty of competition with the likes of Bell, Corbin, Wayne and Casey on the schedule. Win the games you can win and compete in the other ones and you will have yourself a program.

Wayne and Taylor seeds will not be set until after next Friday night. With a Wayne victory and a Washington Co. loss.... Wayne would be third. Both Wayne and Taylor would have 2 points each with the tie breaker going to Wayne because of head to head play.... I think i'm right on this.
