A lot more to this region that the records of the teams...Some teams have had to overcome a lot this year.

 

Magoffin for instance is 4th in their district but could end up the top scoring team in 3A having scored 307 points through 9 games and appears to be much more than their record would indicate.

 

How does everyone think this will play out? What are the upset alerts? Who are the dark horses if there are any?

How will the seeding work out if Lincoln beats Garrard and Wayne Co wins their last game ??

Estill Co. could be a difficult second round game for Somerset. I would say Breathitt and Somerset will face off in the regional finals. I still believe we could see the Bobcats make a run back to the state finals.

Wayne and Taylor seeds will not be set until after next Friday night. With a Wayne victory and a Washington Co. loss.... Wayne would be third. Both Wayne and Taylor would have 2 points each with the tie breaker going to Wayne because of head to head play.... I think i'm right on this.

I may have jumped the gun with the seedings of 3 and 4 in District 5.... sorry!

It won't matter, Garrard is already 3-2 in the district as is Wayne and Taylor. Garrard already has 9 points in tie breaker with wins over Rowan (6 wins) and Casey (3 wins), the other two can't catch them.

Somerset / Estill played earlier and it was a pretty good game, Somerset won 27-14. Estill scored very late to make the final score and ran back the opening kick off to score on first play of the game.
