The right guy is there, Don't worry about the future of the program. Enjoy the ride raider nation good things are going to happen!!!! He has the spunk and football know how to take central to the next level. I don't think anyone else could have done a better job.

What about Robert Jones? There is talk he maybe the coach next year. Whats your thoughts on that?

LOLOLOLO !!!!!! He Is in full support of the program now I here. Thats how you get things done, by getting the right people on board. Robs a great guy ,Glad you brought that up

Biggest thing is keep your heads up and work hard this offseason.

There are a lot of great people in McCreary and they deserve some success on the field. I wish them well in the future!

McCreary draws alot of attention on here I agree with staying positive. Key thing is keep trying to get better. Sometimes things happen. There are a lot of factors that go into a succesful or failing program. Sometimes it is out the coaches and administrators hands. Talent pool, parents who demand that their kids give their best. Coaches, teachers and pastors usually have unrealistic expectations placed on them. Really to have a susccesful program begins with having parents who support the program and demand that thier kids come everyday and work hard. Coaches only supplement what should be taught at home. I agree boilermaker I have heard good things about their current coach. Seems to be classy and trying to do the right thing. Keeep your heads up Raider nation!

I agree 110%

Coach Smith is a very good person and friend. This year has been nothing but a speed bump for a young coach and season's like this happens to everyone sometime or another. With experiece comes knowledge and I know Derrick will take what he has learned this year and apply it to next year. Derrick will make the adjustments necessary in the offseason and get the Raiders ready to go for next season. Good luck to the Raiders this Friday against Lynn Camp and then get in the weight room and get bigger faster and stronger as that is the key to becoming successfull! Go Get'em men!

Sorry to hear AD didn,t support the Football Program before this year. I have nothing but respect for Coach Smith and most of his Staff, they are very classy and work real hard. Good Luck friday night at Lynn Camp and as HOP and I have stated all year go to work in Off-Season and get ready for next year.

Another great post HoP. Hopefully the parents can rally behind the program and demand their kids follow thought with their comittments. I think that is a huge factor in McCreary and counties like it.

He DID support it last year

Coach Robert Jones is the AD correct?

Coach Robert Jones is the AD correct?

You already know he is the AD. You have pointed out in previous posts that he was the AD and basketball coach. Why are you suggesting you don't know that? Are you really from coal country and where do you get your information from as far as what you claim you are hearing?

What about Robert Jones? There is talk he maybe the coach next year. Whats your thoughts on that?

Rob Jones is a fantastic Basketball coach and AD. He has no interest in coaching football, I would assume, and if so where would he find the time? Additionally, he has a great coach in D. Smith as HoP has pointed out. Can't Coach Smith get some support and more than a year without people like you throwing out unsubstantiated rumors? Where do you get your information from? You seem intent on perpetuating baseless claims. If you are going to post can you PLEASE say something constructive and meaningful? I have not seen ONE from you yet. Why you post on BG is beyond me. Nothing worth reading ever comes from your keyboard.

I agree the raiders are in good hands. Best of luck Friday night as you visit the campers. I think the raiders finish on a positive note. Raiders 26 Lynn Camp 13

GO RAIDERS :>)
