Is the small private school a feeder to the private school "c"? For instance students that go to St. Mary's in Paris can play for Lexington Catholic Middle School (because that is one of their feeder teams) or that student because of an agreement between the two schools can play at Paris Middle School. So if the student from St. Mary's was good enought, yes IMO he could play at Lexington Catholic while still in 8th grade at St. Mary's in Paris....is that clear as mud?

Mackey was never expelled, just not allowed to be on school grounds 24/7, this is why he was meeting with a home school teacher at the library to finish out (I hope they lift the ban so he can play in alumni games.......) Scott County does have a policy for all students caught with drugs, they face a 10 day suspension and can't come back to school until they have had an expulsion hearing with the board of edu. Scott County is in the grassroots (no pun intended) of starting to drug test athletes and have had a couple of informative meetings on a new drug policy for when a student athlete tests positive, support is mixed. Some say it costs too much and only encourages students to do "harder" drugs that aren't tested, some are in 100% support. I think if they drug test the students then they should also drug test extra curricular coaches....but I'm sure that wont fly.

I have seen Gilbert's Dad coach multiple times and think he is class act and a top notch coach, couldn't quite understand why he wasn't the head man for the 8th grade team last year, I think that hurt them. I definatley never liked to see him on the opposite sideline :creepy:

The "big 3" freshman played solid, I am a big fan of the Gilbert kid and think he deserves more time!

If history repeats itself Leach will just go to another weaker 16th Region opponent and then beat Greenup everytime they play them, sounds like too much micro managment at Greenup. Although if I was the AD/Principal and had to watch that Offensive/Defensive Philosophy that was being implemented I might have to force the coach out as well!

Rough go at it for Bourbon this year, Montgomery is keeping it rolling!

I heard and commented on these same "hecklers" while I was listening to the Mason/Montgomery game, sounds way louder via radio than during the game...but than again I was sitting upper arena on Scott County's side.

Mason has a sold program, 8th grade, Freshman, JV, and Varisty can compete with anyone in the state, I cant even believe this thread exists. Any time you win people want more, tonight was an off nite, but not time to jump ship on a talented team (and I am a Scott County Fan....remember our record is 9-7). Would you rather Mason play a weak schedule? Or compete with national powerhouses.......Mason is going to be a mainstay at the top of the charts for many years to come!

He did have a really nasty dunk in warm ups, I wished the refs would have stayed in a little longer, Miller can soar!

I guess you missed the jail bird uniforms and the "where's bud" chant....we are talking about high school kids here...that just beat the number 1 team in the state, what are they supposed to do...not be excited? I was waiting for the Scott County fan section to start chanting "we dont need him" when we were up 18 and the Mason fans were chanting "where's bud"......

Definatley didn't see the premier match up I had intended to, I have now seen Miller and Hopson play and as far as talent goes (and I know this may offend many) Hopson is as good as it gets (even at 20%)....hopefully this was just a very very off night for Miller Not sure what he was thinking hand checking with three fouls and then four fouls. It looked as if Middleton was forcing things and Setty was not in a grove at all.... With all that said I have seen Scott County multiple times and this was not their best effort either, there guard play HAS to get better if they want to contend for back to back state championships. I also enjoyed the pizza at the game and on a side note I think the Mason Co. Adminstration did a good job at trying to keep the students tamed (other than the fact that the were all dressed as if they were in jail). Looked as if many of the Mason fans took out when they were down 18 in the third....way to early to be leaving a rivalry game! I also thought that around with around 1:17 left in the game the clock was going up rather than down, the bottom line is Mason is going to have to start playing big in big games if they want a shot at the title!

Looks like County Attorney was the one that wasn't included in this little move....lets just say he's not happy, he has sent out a couple of summons, next court date to determine if bond will be revoked is Tuesday. I am sure Mr. Mackey will have to be present as well!

That would probably work as well, but he does what it takes to win games! But, not denying your statement.....

Im still looking for somewhere to eat after the game....or maybe the concession stand will work, does Mason have a good one? I can't get food off my mind!

Maybe Greenup should hire a coach that is related to and has coached under one of the winningest active coaches in KHSAA history.....hold on they already ran him off....

Any one got some good suggestions of where to eat after the game? I tried the Pub last time and walked out happy, may try again.
