One of the things I love about the play of Chris Lofton and Darius Miller is their unselfish attitude. When Chris played, he did not hesitate to set up Grutza or Litzinger or other members of that team and even encouraged them to take their shot.

Darius is one of the most unselfish and encouraging teammates I've ever seen. He will pass up an open shot if someone else is open. If they miss he will pat them on the back so they feel like they are supposed to shoot it again the next time.

Many of the posters on BGP recognize and appreciate this unselfish attitude of the quality kids playing at Mason Co. Fellow members of the region speak up and post high praise. Mason fans on BGP are proud of the way the kids conduct themselves... rightfully so.

Now that it is time for the adults in Mason County to pass the ball, there doesn't seem to be too much unselfishness.

The 40th district has voted for the region to be played in Montgomery County's new gym this year and the people of Mt. Sterling are excited and honored to host this event. It is still the 10th region tournament and there is a LOT of pride connected to the tournament. I know that the administration at Montgomery County will do everything in their power to host the tournament in a first-class manner.

In my opinion, some excellent teaching opportunities are at the fingertips of the Mason Co. administration. If they would reach out and offer their expertise in running the tournament to Montgomery Co. it would really be a gesture of good faith. Pass the ball, Fred Hester, Kelly Middleton, and others who's opinion would really be valuable.

Support the 10th region tournament this year Mason Co. BGP fans. Darius and Chris have given the example for you to follow. Pass the ball.

Yeah, but I hope some of you will do more than just come and sit in the chair backs and fold your arms and look for everything that is "wrong" or "not the same".

When Darius passes the ball and his teammate misses the shot, he is an encourager... Montgomery is going to have some things that aren't perfect - that is unavoidable. It won't be because they neglected to put much time and preparation into hosting. The Rison boys know what a big responsibility they've taken on.

Come here with an open mind. Bring your golf clubs and play Old Silo one day. Go to the Ruth Hunt candy store. Bring a picnic and go out to Easy Walker Park.

I'd also like to ask for world peace.

What is the basis of this thread? Has Mason County complained about Montgomery County getting the tourney?

I'm an outsider so I have no clue as to the impetus of this thread.
