  1. In your last post you were talking about pressure defense and fouls, now it is over the back and fouls......and further I am not going to get in argument with you about SC's defense, because you obviously know more about it than I do......:ylsuper:
  2. Didn't think to look at it that way.....solid
  3. SC rarely pressed in these games and for the most part set back in a 2-3 zone, your statement above is not accurate.
  4. There was a foul discrepency; in somerset game, 31-5, if you were at the game you would have seen that Meece was the aggressor, 24 were second half fouls please also remember Meece was down 16 going into the fourth and had to foul to try to get back in the game , The Wayne County Game was 11-10 with Wayne having one more foul, Russell County game was 25-10...but again remember they were 10 down at some points and had to foul to get back in game 16 were 2nd half fouls. Christian County was 17-12 with 12 second half fouls (3 were T's) and they were down 9 at one point and again had to foul to get back in the game. Looking at the officials for any loss is just an excuse, trust me the KBA has never been a safe haven for any Scott County Team!
  5. When I saw them play I thought they were lacking a solid post and point, so this makes since, did South Laurel play Wayne in the regular season. IMO the big boy from Wayne made the single biggest impact in the tournament, he was inside and out and could handle the ball....just not sure how much he is going to grow to make an impact on down the line. Gryche11 is Highlands bringing down their 8th grade team next weekend?
  6. Final Game SC 46 Christian 45 SC 29-0 (16-0)- Quin Richardson 14, Dylan Portwood 5, Tyler Page 12, Austin Downey 15 Since Monday this is these kids 12th Game, quite impressive!
  7. That was a typo...my bad, trust me, I know SC plays Wayne tomorrow.....I got to see the Wayne Co/South Laurel game upclose and personal! Hopefully SCMS can stop the #54 train of Wayne in the morning!:fight:
  8. Someone help me out, I was trying to think of the 8 teams left for tomorrow, I believe these are the match ups....not sure... Russell County Royal Spring Scott Middle Whitley County Mayfield Lincoln County? Storm Christian County
  9. Diaw has played with RSMS all year, SCMS has played RSMS twice this year and SCMS won both by a 20 point average. From what I have heard Madison's 7th is playing in the 8th grade KBA state, I believe they had their district tournament this weekend (they are in a district with area schools Berea, Foley, Madison, Clark Moores, etc...)
  10. Greenup County has turned into the Brittany Spears of the KHSAA.....it seems like at times the admin. there just does things to get people talking. When in all reality the admin. is just making the entire community look bad......if I lived in the district I'd be attend the next Site Base Meeting and getting some answers to my questions!
  11. With Franklin playing all these big teams tough they are writing a heck of a resume for next year!
  12. Montgomery Wins!, Stephens plays big!....anyone have the stats? Why did Chalk get tossed? I knew it would be a barnburner!
  13. I want an official that is there for the kids and in the process is promoted up the ranks because not only are they good at what they do but they are there for the RIGHT reasons....not for people to be looking at them :thumb:
  14. Maybe all of the conference assigners should also come to every game and brief the players of each teams on the rules, I am still sure that 90% of the kids dont even realize we went from two officials to three in major high school games. The kids dont understand "off officials", officials need to realize just like some coaches, that they are there, paid by the school system, to perform a service for the kids, not for the betterment of their own career. :thumb:
  15. This happened at a game I was at tonight after kid had been assessed a T he "lobbed" the ball at the ref who then turned to the scores table and didn't see the ball and got hit by the ball....., I think some (key word some) officials need to set their ego's aside and realize that everyone does not do things to make them mad on purpose. IMO some officials wouldnt make it 10 minutes in a classroom once they realized that T sign means nothing
  16. Another trap game for Montgomery, Franklin is going to be a solid match up for Montgomery, but I still believe Montgomery has the edge as far as all around guard play....still would be nice to see Stephens step up before he steps across that graduation stage!
  17. I have the Burner, bought it new on EBay for 200 New, completely satisfied, alot of ebay "companies" have guarantee's.
  18. Junior Kyle Wilshire, Dylan Schmitt Senior Casey Mingua Go Cards!!
  19. He just put in a Press Offense obviously, I believe it was out of a 2-1-2 format, the bottom line is they didn't have one the first time. It was our PG vs Bryan Stations Press in Round 1, Round 2 we just passed through the press with simply having people in the right spots, just a minor adjustment.
  20. Solid quote, I will be attending both though!
  21. Make the regular season worth something, SEED!!
  22. Press Offense, just needed to tweak it, Hicks made necessary adjustments, Bryan Station is on sided, once their "organized chaos" on defense doesnt work they dont have a back up plan.
