  1. IMO Mr. Basketball alot of time depends on State Tournament performance, I have seen all 3, I believe if Hopson would play 100 percent he would be my #1, Mack is the most well rounded player in the state and is one of the most talented players IMO since Lofton, Miller is obviously a team player but I think he is going to have to take a more leader of the pack role to be Mr. Basketball or he is going to end up like Matt Walls, simply a good player on a great team with other good players.
  2. Call and ask Coach Hatfield, then be suprised!
  3. MCHS Arena no more, The Palace sounds better
  4. Should this thread even be? Lets just hope the Cardinals are able to represent the Bluegrass the best they can. Tune in to ESPNU at 3:00 and check it out!! Hang on :ylsuper:
  5. Both had low major D1 offers, the last D1 Alsop turned down was Murray, Silverhorn's last was EKU...he went on a visit in Richmond and then signed with the Tigers the next day! I bet alot of D1's wish they could go back in time and offer Silverhorn, he was a beast!
  6. Dont count Happy and Gtown out, many of players have signed with Gtown with D1 offers in their pocket, two more recent Brian Silverhorn and Casey Alsop!
  7. Should be a solid matchup, not sure if the big boy from Central can hang with Stephens, and not sure if Rash can hold Morris of Central. But, it's at The Palace so i'm going to take Montgomery by 8. Montgomery guards are going to have to step up if they want this one!
  8. DVR cut out after Catholic hit the free throw with 8.1 seconds left......ouch :flame:
  9. I agree, Mack is the best player in the state, he put on a show tonight, as did his Defenders, they are by far the #1 team in the state. They have a solid group of kids and came into SC and put on a show. The second worst beating SC has had at home in the Hicks Era, only one that was worse was SC vs Station in '97 by 17. Good luck to the Defenders, have to say toughest district in the state!
  10. Watching on DVR right now, classic game! Congratz to Mason!
  11. It could be "The Little Palace at Whirling Sterling with good bathrooms, concessions, and parking" That nickname is a little long, not getting in the middle of this 1, good luck to Montgomery this year!
  12. I vote for an official name change of Montgomery's gym too....The Palace, it looks so grand standing high upon that hill, much like a palace would, or like The Palace at Auburn Hills it could be The Palace at Whirling Sterling!
  13. Scott County doesnt adjust game plan, it usually works the other way around, I know that sounds way arrogant but night in and night out Hicks does the SAME thing. How many times has Ligon ever beat Hicks might be the better question.
  14. You could also email SEAN VINSEL [email protected], he organizes all of the middle school teams.
  15. I think we need to wait until the game tonight before we can tell who the best player on the floor is. Darius Miller wasn't the best player on the floor when Mason and Scott Co. played, let's keep an open mind!
  16. I still think they should have made him live on campus rather than allowed him to get his way and live with his grandmother in Lincoln Heights, not the greatest place for someone out on bond if you know what I mean.
  17. Bud's brother sported the mohawk last season, on the bench......
  18. I believed they "offered" a walk on, he should be about to walk on any D1 team in the nation (excluding the big boys) I would say by the end of the year he will have an offer on the table. EKU needs work on it's current team and not get beat by Morehead!
  19. I just hope it makes it, but am convienced in the back of my mind that he is not surround by the right people with the right intentions, he's going to get another shot but not only are law issues going to have to fall in place but then he is going to have to focus on his books!
  20. Not suprising then that you also support Cincy I have no problem with a mohawk.....after he's out of court, he wouldn't have been playing with one at Scott County!
  21. I have heard this as well, but I am wondering if all this attention (trip to Georgian w/o permission and trip to Cincy w/o permission) has possibly changed the mind of the judge. It seems almost comical that in the midst of all this Mackey then decides he needs a mohawk what type of advising is he getting?
  22. LCA will have not match in the post for Stephens, LCA has better shooters but I think Montgomery has top notch defenders on the wing, will probably be a close match up for a while but I think Montgomery will get it to Stephens when it matters, Indians by 14. Keep in mind LCA held Scott County's lead to 1 late in the 3rd....they are by no means a push over squad this year...even without their post!
  23. If you look at the other thread the elgibility is 9-12 and a student in grades 4-12 if they repeat a year they can't play a varsity sport the year they are retained. Haddix at Scott County was only found inelgible because he repeated 8th grade after he was PROMOTED from 8th grade and his elgibility clock "ran" his repeated 8th grade year.
