My point is that there could be any number of "other circumstances" under which he may have had not other choice than to resign. While I dont agree entirely with BigBlueFreak's opinion about whether or not it is appropriate to discuss the issue, I dont intend to mention specifics in a public forum. I doubt the press or school admin intends to make any public comments either or it would have already been done.

Think about this for a second.........If this was the sole reason, why on earth would he resign his teaching position thereby losing his health insurance? Under this circumstance he could have taken vacation time, medical leave or something short of resigning........Under other circumstances he may have been given no other choice but to resign. I agree 100% that his on court performance speaks for itself but you cant seperate on court from off court. You must take the whole package and unfortunately off the court seems to be where the issues arose.

I heard the same news over the weekend. I am not sure what to think about this decision. If the true reason for Troys departure is what I believe it to be, then it seems to me Kelly would be sticking his own neck out awfully far.

Yes.....that is right and I knew it.....just had a momentary lapse..... I hate to see Troy Lee go but it is most important that he get healthy.....Coach High is a pretty darn good replacement if you ask me.

I thought Coach High was now the AD at Montgomery....

Dont know if it is a done deal or not but it is very likely to happen.......As Jay said, Bath has some talent coming back. I dont have a rooting interest at all but I am curious to see what Hicks could do there.

Heard from someone attending this camp that Rose Hill has added a nice point guard to the roster. Also hear they are pretty big across the front line and I dont just mean Euton. Anybody with more detail?

I dont think they would have hard feelings......First of all they know our lists dont really matter and secondly they all obviously have pretty thick skin to have lasted in the coaching business very long.......

I guess I should have been more clear.......I heard from Fraleys own mouth that he intended to coach the girls team at Boyd County until his daughter had graduated. At that time he indicated he may have interest in coaching a boys program IF he still wants to coach at all at that point.

It hasnt been too long ago that I heard from Coach Fraley himself that he intended to coach until his daughter graduated.....I doubt anything has recently caused a change of heart.

From your earlier post I am assuming you are referring to Coach Hampton when you say "the best guy for the job"........It is my understanding the job was offfered to and accepted by Coach Hampton then he had a change of heart shortly thereafter. If this is correct then what did the community have to do with keeping the administration from hiring the best guy?

I think Coach Hampton is a great hire.......when will a formal announcement be made? Whats the deal with the rumor of documents being served during the interview process that would have stopped a hire?

King you could be right but your news differs from the last conversation I had with BC administration just last month. I always assumed he would return and think it would be great. You cant argue with his resume.......

While I dont think this announcement was much of a surprise to those close to the BC program it doesnt make the loss any less great. Ol Mr Webster could have easily inserted Phil Pratt's picture when it came time to define "classy". As for his replacement......Not sure Coach Zornes will be the guy.
