Coach Pratt is one of the finest men to ever coach in the region!:thumb:

I had heard during the season that he was considering stepping down. Truly a great, great guy and I wish him the best of luck in the future. : )

I have always heard great things about Coach Pratt. He is a great guy and coach!

Speaking of Zornes....Is he coaching anywhere now?

Coach Pratt has been a fixture at Boyd as a player and coach for a long time. Its going to be difficult to fill his shoes. truly a class act.

Coach Pratt always handled himself with class and he represented Boyd Co. with class. I have heard nothing but good things about him.

Boyd Co. fans has expected this to happen for some time now...

btw, i've heard Zornes could be named head coach as early as this weekend...

While I dont think this announcement was much of a surprise to those close to the BC program it doesnt make the loss any less great. Ol Mr Webster could have easily inserted Phil Pratt's picture when it came time to define "classy".

 

As for his replacement......Not sure Coach Zornes will be the guy.

Phil has represented Boyd County well as a player and as a coach. Truly he was one of the best role models for young men in this area and I wish him nothing but the best for the future.

What kind of team is Boyd looking to have next year ?

Zornes is basically a legend at Boyd. He left and had a ridiculous amount of success at Ironton. He had a 66-9 record at Ironton including a 26-1 state runner up season. I just personally can't see him coming back to Boyd unless the future looked bright. I've heard his name come up quite a bit lately though.

Coach Pratt was a great player and a fine coach. He will be missed by many and those who played under him are fortunate.

 

He is a true gentleman, although very competitive. I know him to be a man of faith in God and he has demonstrated this through his contacts and dealings with students, players and adults throughout his career.
