If the School Street comment is referring to Nicholas Co Schools I’m glad we aren’t located on School Street either! School Street is downtown, where Carlisle High used to be located. Nicholas Co. Schools is on School Drive. If you think our parking is bad now, which it isn’t it’s just an uphill walk, our parking on School Street would be pitiful!!!

Who from Nicholas Co. Peed in LCDAWG’s Cheerios? He always has something negative or a comeback to say about the Blue Jackets and Lady Jackets. Buddy we’re sorry for whatever we did. Good win for the Blue Jackets tonight over a Robertson Co. team that was 18 points better a few weeks ago. Good to see Bobo get some action tonight. If he can get into game shape he could hurt some teams defensively. Hopefully the Blue Jackets can start playing at a higher level heading into district play! Good luck to the Devils the rest of the season, I’d love to see the two small schools represent the 38th in the 10th! As always, Go Jackets!!!!

Good for him! Calm down and read, I never said he was! Just implying that I don’t see a team in the 38th beating PC until he’s gone. Yes I know last year happened but he’s an upperclassman now and has shown that he has grown up this year.

The main reason behind seeding was the expectations of Coach Matt Botner. He said by seeding expectations for NC Basketball would be higher and he really thought in the future he could keep his team in the top 3 seeds which would in turn keep him from playing the 1 seed. On the other hand Robertson offered to take the automatic 4 seed hoping they would be the best anyway for the next three years and they will be very good so I don’t blame them! But do they know something about Allen we don’t for next year? Also by taking the 4 seed they wouldn’t have to take 4 automatic district losses to HC and PC in the not so near future and could schedule 4 “easier” games. I like Coach Botner’s thinking better, it’s worked for baseball/softball! Aren’t high expectations what we expect from our school districts?

Harrison’s girls have a bright future as do the girls at Nicholas so I fully understand the girls idea to seed. As far as the boys, it don’t have to do with money even though that’s what Devil fans will say and I would if I was in their shoes as well. Nicholas and Robertson have always been tied at the hip in this district and that string broke today. Coach Botner must feel good about his future and I’m pretty sure the Blue Jackets have finally found some longevity in that position which is a plus. Karma smiled on Nicholas Co. today with the double draw keeping their boys away from PC and girls away from HC. As a sports fan seeding is the way to go, just hope it was the correct decision for our student-athletes. Obviously the draws from the past didn’t work for the Blue Jackets, so hopefully seeding will. Only time will tell! Good luck to everyone and Go Jackets!!!!

Brooksville, you might as well stop trying to quit trying to figure out Coach Hop logic now or you’ll waste a lot of time. He always does a great job with these events, show up ready to play and it will all work out. The 10th Region All A is always great no matter where it’s played and I know the people of Nicholas Co. will take care of it, I’m one of them. We’ve got a great facility to host tournaments and take a lot of pride in doing so. Just wish we had better parking, even tho it rivals most other schools, and more choices to eat in town. We will have great concessions though and the best popcorn in Carlisle!

Final Safe travels to all teams on the road tonight. Glad my trip home was a short one because it was the foggiest night I’ve ever driven in!

Possibly the only two things I actually love about the Steelers: 1. They still play on REAL grass/turf, which you hardly even see at high school fields anymore! 2. A Nicholas Co. graduate is the manager of the field crew at Heinz Field.

This is how Nicholas Co. WON their district last year after a 3-way tie with Brossart and Bracken Co. It really makes a tougher schedule worth it! Bethlehem was one of Nicholas County's wins last year to help seal the deal. Pretty cool that Bethlehem is in that role again this year!

Tyler was said to have had a bruised shoulder and possible concussion. He was released and was going to get to play against Berea but is sadly no longer part of the team.

Nicholas Co. converted every extra point. Kick, kick, run, run, run Bellevue did not convert on their first and last extra point attempts. Great game by both teams with two totally different styles!

I guess you know now why I push him so I'll keep from repeating Pi. I've watched, competed, and became good friends with Coach Charles and mainly because of the respect I've gained for him due to what he's accomplished at Bracken. By the way, I haven't pushed him on the West Carter thread yet, that would be a great fit for him as well. He may be the man to take the Brown boys farther than they went this year!

If Coach Combs decides to stay in the 11th they should take a shot at Larry "Scooter"Charles. He's done a great job at Bracken and will keep Powell competitive in the 14th for sure!

Good read! I sat on the bench at Nicholas Co with Coach Harden a couple years ago and we discussed how jealousy works down into the kids from the parents. We talked about how you can really tell how bad the jealousy is by how parents sit at games. Great conversation and a good laugh as parents from both teams entered the gym and took their seats. I still check things out every time I go into a gym!
